Approx. DOB: 3/24/24                Approx. Weight: 45 Lb Adoption Fee: $250 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness!      Winnie is so gorgeous with her orangeish color fur. It's so thick and in great shape. Winnie is young and full of life. She loves to chase the other dogs in the group to play tag or just to see who the fastest runner is. We haven't witnessed any dominance or aggressiveness towards any of the other dogs. She can sometimes think she is a smaller dog but doesn't realize she is playing a bit too rough. It's on accident and it happens when she thinks patting them on the back is OK but she accidently rolls them over. The dogs haven't been hurt because it's a gentle roll over.  A quick correction and she listens so well.     She listens really well but being young you need to be firm in your voice. Winnie would be thrilled to go to obedience classes. We are still learning more about her everyday and from what we have learned so far she is going to make a terrific companion for some lucky family.      I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Hiro, is an 8 year old male australian shepherd. I rescued him 3 years ago in the mountains of Utah. Tracked down his owner and decided to keep him. He loves to play fetch non stop. He thinks he is a lap dog when being petted. He is good with kids. They like to carry the ball or toy around and have Hiro follow them. We are only rehoming him because he has become to dominate over our Black Lab. He will make a good one dog family or if you able to train him with other dogs.

The kind people in Stover ensured I did not go hungry as you can see in the pictures. haha. I just arrived at the animal rescue on 7/11/25 and I can tell you I love the air conditioning. I am the sweetest dog, I do well on a leash. I am looking for a home where I can be spoiled and laid back. I need to get my steps in but I can also enjoy a good movie with you. It limits his vision but doesn’t slow him down. As affectionate as any pup can be, he seems so happy to be loved. He’s in a foster home learning what being cared for is all about! He’s been groomed and has a beautiful soft coat.
