You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Virginia (virginiak@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet.Email T.A.R.A. | T.A.R.A.'s Web Site | On-Line Application    Jax is a sweet Aussie Mix. He is a big cuddler and loves getting brushed. He loves to play fetch (especially if the ball has a squeaker!) and tug of war. He’s loves his daily naps but when it’s play time or treats are involved he’ll get the excited shakes. He’s extremely smart and loves to learn new tricks and games. Jax is good with some other dogs with gentle and gradual introductions but would probably prefer to have his humans all to himself. Despite being older Jax still has a ton of energy and would love an active home! Approximate Birthdate:  Apr 2017 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial . Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.   For more information please fill out an APPLICATION Please visit our EVENTS PAGE for information about our upcoming adoption events. Story
I adopted her knowing that she was skittish and did not like being around people I thought that because I lived alone at the time it would be fine but since my situation has changed she is not doing well. She does not like men at all. She does fine with other dogs but she doesn’t play with them. When I got her they told me she bit a child with her previous family. Shes only bit one person while I’ve had her and that was over 3 years ago now. She will not willingly go outside to go potty, she’d rather just go inside and get into trouble. I’ve tried putting her on anxiety medication but it did not help her. I’ve tried private training but she didn’t do well. I love her but I can no longer help her.
