Please be aware we do not hold dogs until an appointment to meet them is scheduled.     Very sweet, smart gentle male Aussie mix Approximate DOB 3/1/2020 – About 65 lbs Dexter is an awesome boy who is housetrained, crate trained and well behaved. He loves hiking but at the end of the day cuddling with his loved ones. He is good with other dogs however he has had a few run ins with large male dogs attacking him so isn't a fan of them but loves female dogs and small dogs. He does not like cats so a cat free home would be best.  Neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations - Adoption fee $150 We do welcome out-of-state adoptions. Send an email to request the application or you can download it from the main site www.almosthomenm.org and email it to adopt@almosthomenm.org Dogs are seen by appointment only after an application has been submitted and approved. If you have other dogs it is recommended you bring them out to the meeting but not required.  Steps for adoption: Read bio, email to request application or download it from the main website, fill it out completely and email it back, once approved you will receive an email asking you when you would like to come out to meet the pet, schedule an appointment, directions will be emailed or text to you. Adoption fees are cash only.   If you would like to provide snacks for Miss Vegas while she waits for her happily ever after we would truly appreciate it. Astro is a pup that's out of this world! He is sweet and friendly with people and loves to run in the park or with you! He loves to sniff around and will love exploring the world by your side! Astro is a deaf dog with special needs and will need a patient and loving family. He has lived successfully with other dogs and children, however, since he is a little timid and sensitive, please bring any children in to meet him before taking him home. Astro would benefit from being in a home with a big yard to run and play in and an owner to help build his confidence when interacting with the outside world. He already knows some tricks and hand signals for "sit" and "shake". Astro is a cuddly, sweet boy that needs a second chance and a loving family.
