Story
I got my Sadie in 2018 in Oklahoma. She was only a few months old. This year she will be 8 years old. She has always been my baby. She loves lots of attention but she is also very very anxious and has some trauma’s from my previous marriage. She really is loving but lacks some training. Ever since I had my boys a couple years back she has been secluded to the room as she has snapped from fear of my boys. I don’t want to lose her but I know it’s not a happy life since she went from living in houses with big yards to an apartment and always being in a room or kennel. We take her out as much as possible, she sleeps with me but she is slowly becoming more aggressive and defiant which who can blame her? I want someone who can give her a lot of time and energy. She does not do well with other animals or children so please do not take her if you have either. I just want my Sadie to be happy again which I haven’t been able to make her happy for a couple years now.

ARCHIE is a joyful, affectionate Aussie mix who lives for playtime — and just as happily for cuddles and long naps on a cozy indoor bed. He loves being told he’s a good boy and thrives on connection, affection, and feeling included. Archie is smart, social, and friendly with both people and other dogs. Like many herding-breed mixes, he prefers to be part of daily life rather than left alone for long stretches, and he does best when he has opportunities to engage his body and mind. Ideal home: Archie would be a wonderful match for an active person or family who enjoys play, interaction, and companionship. He would love having a canine friend (male or female) who enjoys energetic play and can keep up with his enthusiasm. With the right balance of activity and downtime, Archie settles in nicely and enjoys relaxing indoors with his people. Archie was born in August 2024. His adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines, deworming, and microchip. Location & availability: We are currently seeking adopters located in or near Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, White Rock, or Los Alamos, to allow for smooth meet-and-greets and follow-up support. FROSTY is a smart, alert, and happy dog with a deeply affectionate side. One of his sweetest habits is resting his head on your shoulder for a cuddle . At some point, Frosty likely had a family before becoming homeless on one of the reservations we work with. Something tragic happened there, and Frosty was left with a severe eye injury. In remarkable fashion, he sought out a kind family and showed them that he needed help. They contacted us immediately, and Frosty was rushed to the vet, where his injured eye was surgically removed. Today, Frosty is healed and thriving, and he’s hoping for an active family who can help him continue learning — or remembering — what it means to be loved and included. Frosty’s adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines, deworming, and microchip. We believe he is about three to four years old. He would do best as an only dog, or possibly with a compatible female dog. He is not a match for a home with smaller male dogs or cats. FROSTY strongly prefers being indoors, likely because life was very hard for him when he was living outside. He will likely love hiking and walks. He is naturally alert and does a great job letting his people know when something seems off. Because Frosty has one eye, busy multi-dog environments can sometimes make him anxious — he can’t always see who is approaching — which is why he may be happiest as the only dog in the home. Frosty would thrive in a home in the Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, White Rock, or Los Alamos area with an active person or family who enjoys interacting with their dog. He may be a bit too rambunctious for small children, but older, respectful kids would be just fine.
