A family death left this duo far too close to losing their own lives… 😥 Please do not ask if they can be separated, because the answer is no. We understand that asking a potential adopter to take on two senior pups on an adoption circuit that is growing daily is like asking all the stars to align, but it is what we are doing. The needs of the pups are more important than fluffing up adoption numbers and quick placements. Hootie and Colt are 11 & 12 years old. Both boys are still quite spunky for their age, and although they like their canine friends these two adore human companionship. They are super social, love being pet, held and just hanging out with the humans. Colt is a Yorkie/Poodle mix weighing 15lbs. He just an overall happy guy. He will scratch your leg to be pet and loves to meet new friends. Hootie is a very mini Aussie mix weighing in at 10lbs. He is just as happy as Colt to meet new friends but even happier to see Colt. Unlike most pups that come through rescue these boys were very well taken care of. They were regularly vetted, groomed, socialized and cared for. Medically these boys are in good shape. Both have age related tartar on their teeth, remain mobile and as of now medication free. They know what it’s like living in a home, and would love a place to once again call their home sweet home. This precious little princess has been hand raised since birth. She and her mom ( Aussie mix ) have been in a loving foster home in Memphis Tn since the day she was born. Pixie is very sweet. Well socialized . Loving. Curious. Typical puppy. She is kennel trained ( with a sibling ) and does well with children and all other dogs . Once adopted, Pixie will transport with Rescue Vet Transport to her new forever family ( additional $185). After a rough start to life, these Aussie mix puppies are thriving in their foster home. They were dumped in rural Mississippi and found by a caring FedEx driver as they huddled on a trash pile on the side of the road. Now they have learned to trust people and love to play and snuggle. They will be ready for forever homes after 3/6. They are located in Memphis, but can be transported to the Midwest, Colorado and the Northeast for an additional fee.
