Story
Hey there humans, I’m Travis! I’m a 7-month-old Aussie/Catahoula mix, and I’m basically a 20 pound bundle of love with legs. I’m super sweet, incredibly social, and I truly love making friends — both human and canine. If there’s another dog around, I’m happy. If there’s a person around, I’m happy. I’m still young, so I bring that joyful energy that makes everything feel a little brighter. One thing people always notice about me is how handsome I am. I’ve got the most gorgeous markings, and my favorite feature is the adorable little brown spot on my nose — it’s kind of my signature. I love attention and being told how cute I am (which happens a lot). I’m looking for a forever home where I can keep growing, playing, and loving as much as possible. If you’re searching for a sweet, social boy with movie-star looks and a heart to match, I think we were meant to find each other. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Hi, I’m Taylor! I’m a 7-month-old, 20 pound Aussie/Catahoula mix, and I’m a gentle soul who just needs a little moment to feel safe. I can be a bit timid when I first meet new people or explore new places, but once I realize I’m okay, my sweet and loving personality comes shining through! I’m great with other dogs and I love gentle affection. I may not be the loudest in the room, but I’m the kind of pup who will quietly steal your heart and stay right by your side. Everyone says I’m super cute, and I have to admit my adorable pink-and-brown spotted nose always makes people smile— it’s kind of my special charm. I’m looking for a loving home that will give me time to blossom and show you just how wonderful I am! Story
Muffin is an adorable 10 month old, 19 pound mini Aussie. As sweet as her name suggests, this doll is truly a gem! Muffin is also absolutely gorgeous and turns heads everywhere she goes! She is friendly and social with other dogs and people, quickly making new friends. A smart girl, she has picked up basic commands and the household routine very quickly. She is crate and housetrained and rides well in the car. Muffin was surrendered by her breeder because she was born with micropthalmia, but it does not seem to impact her vision. She runs, jumps, and plays like a totally normal dog. This sweetheart is also deliciously snuggly and gives the most scrumptious cuddles! She loves to play with her toys and canine friends and has the most adorable playful romp. True to her breed, Muffin can be a bit vocal so she wouldn't do well in an apartment. She has so much love to give and is truly the sweetest girl! This darling will light up the lives of a very lucky family! Story
Hello there, I’m Waffle — a 1-year-old, 26 pound male Mini Aussie with a tender heart and a gentle soul. I’m a very sweet, sensitive boy who’s still learning how safe and wonderful the world can be. With love, I blossom quickly and show just how affectionate I really am. Once I feel comfortable, I lean in hard to connection. I love being close to my people, soaking up pets, reassurance, and all the good feelings that come with being truly cared for. I may start a little shy, but my trust grows fast when I know I’m loved. I’m looking for a forever home that understands soft hearts like mine — a place where kindness, consistency, and affection are part of everyday life. If you’re ready to give love and watch a beautiful soul come fully out of his shell, I promise I’ll give you my whole heart right back.  Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). Story
Princess Oreo truly lives up to her royal name. This stunning black-and-white beauty is a perfect example of how magical a blended breed can be. Soft as a cloud and on her way to becoming delightfully fluffy, she looks like an innocent little powder puff — but don’t let that fool you. There’s a playful sparkle and just a touch of rascal in this royal girl.   Born around December 4th as one of eleven well-loved puppies, Oreo had a devoted momma who made sure every baby thrived. No one was left out at mealtime, and it shows in her sturdy build and confident spirit. While we never met mom or dad, we believe Princess Oreo is predominantly Aussie — and she carries that intelligence and athleticism beautifully.   She is sweet and affectionate, yet strong in personality. She loves her toys, adores wrestling with her siblings, and is currently in that adorable puppy stage where gentle “nibbles” are her way of exploring the world. She’s playful, bold, and beautifully balanced in temperament.   Princess Oreo would thrive with a family ready for fun — children, active couples, or anyone who appreciates a smart, engaging companion. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus for safe zoomies and play sessions.   She is crate trained and already learning about housebreaking. She’s still a baby, so consistency and patience will help her shine — and she absolutely will. This litter is known for being loving, smart, and eager to bond deeply with their people.   If you’re looking for fluff, sweetness, and just the right touch of spirited charm, Princess Oreo is waiting.Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to make this little royal part of your family.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 25, 2026, 2:27 pm

Story
Tink’s story didn’t begin the way any young dog’s should — but we believe her best chapter is still waiting to be written very soon now that she is in the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue.  At just two years old, this striking blue-eyed Australian Shepherd girl has already experienced motherhood and heartbreak. She gave birth to a litter of puppies on Thanksgiving Day, nurturing them with devotion. But by Valentine’s weekend, her own world changed. When her owner suffered a stroke and was hospitalized in ICU, Tink was left confined inside a camper for four long days, alone and unsure. It would be understandable if that experience made her fearful or withdrawn. Instead, Tink emerged gentle, loving, and incredibly devoted to people. Currently weighing 38 pounds (and needing about five more to reach her ideal weight), Tink is a petite Aussie with a soft and gentle temperament and a playful streak. She absolutely adores children and has a naturally sweet, careful way about her. She loves playing fetch, going on walks, and burning off her energy in a securely fenced yard — which is a must for this active, intelligent breed.   Tink is mostly housebroken and simply needs the consistency of a routine. She does well in a crate and walks nicely on leash. We are currently evaluating her with other submissive dogs, as a recent attempt to pair her with a strong alpha female was not a good fit — which is understandable after all she’s been through. She may truly shine as the center of someone’s world. Tink has proven she is resilient. She has proven she is loving. Now she just needs someone who will prove to her that she will never be left behind again. If you feel your home might be the safe and steady future this beautiful girl deserves, please email Critter Cavalry at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell us your city and state. Tink is ready to begin again — this time, forever.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 23, 2026, 9:26 pm
