Story
Say hello to Ripley — a lovable, affectionate pup who’s looking for his forever family! Ripley is about 12 weeks old and has all the charm you’d expect from a puppy: curious, playful, and incredibly cuddly. He adores people and wants nothing more than to snuggle up next to you and soak in all the love. We believe Ripley is a mix of Border Collie and Labrador Retriever, based on photos of the parental group he came from — but whatever his breed mix, one thing is certain: he’s 100% sweetheart. Ripley and his sister Lula were rescued after being found alone under a house in Texas. He’s come a long way since then and is now thriving in his Connecticut foster home. Like many young pups, he’s still working on housetraining, but he’s eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement. Ripley is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to meet potential adopters! If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a heart full of love, Ripley might just be your perfect match. Ready to fall in love? Contact us to schedule a meet-and-greet — Ripley can’t wait to meet you!

Story
Introducing Lula — a confident, curious puppy with a big personality in a small package! At just 12 weeks old, Lula is already showing signs of being a bold, intelligent girl who knows what she wants — and isn’t afraid to let you know. Lula is likely a Border Collie/Lab mix, based on the parental group she came from. While we can't confirm her exact breed, what we do know is that she’s spunky, full of life, and endlessly entertaining. She was found underneath a house in Texas alongside her brother Ripley and has been thriving in her Connecticut foster home ever since. While Lula is sweet and affectionate, she’s also a bit of a boss — in the best puppy way. She’ll need a home that can provide clear boundaries, consistent training, and lots of love. With the right structure, Lula is sure to grow into a wonderful, well-mannered companion. Like most puppies her age, she’s still learning the ropes when it comes to housetraining but is making progress every day. Lula is spayed, vaccinated, and ready to meet her forever family. She would thrive with someone who’s patient, experienced with puppies, and excited to help her blossom into her best self. Ready for a little sass with your snuggles? Lula is waiting to meet you — schedule a meet-and-greet today!

Story
Meet Twiggy! This beautiful blue merle girl is not in the ARPH program; we are assisting the owner in finding a new home without other female dogs. She might be okay with the right male but would probably be best as an only. The opposite is true with humans though, Miss Twiggy prefers women. She is four years old and weighs in at around 42 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, crate trained and house trained. A fenced yard is preferred for her safety, but homes without one will be considered on an individual basis. Kids 12 and up would be okay, but she's unknown with cats. Twiggy is a whip smart, high energy, high drive Aussie that will need an experienced handler. She knows many commands and tricks and is easily trained. She loves going hiking and mountain biking with the adult family daughter. Her Aussie reserve makes her cautious and barky when meeting new people. But break out the treats, and she's there. She also loves toys. Twiggy is excellent in the car, at the vet's, and at the groomer's. In the right home, Twiggy will be an amazing companion and will form a strong bond with her people. If you think you have the time, energy, and experience to live with a real Aussie, Twiggy might be your girl. She is currently living near Putnam Valley, NY. If you are interested in adopting Twiggy, please submit an application from our website at www.aussierescue.org
