Story
This handsome boy is called Cooper and he is a young one year, 55 pound male Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix who is gorgeous and goofy.  This boy was formerly owned by a person who let him run loose (unsafe) and he was getting in to trouble on neighbors properties as he hung out at the chicken coop and he got in to trash cans just for fun.  Cooper just wanted to have something to do!  A job ya know?  He is such a loving boy and he really is good with other dogs and adores people.  He is not cat tested but can be if needed. As you can see he needs a little spiffing up with some groomer which will happen soon.  He is a deep rich mahogany color and has the softest, long wavy fur that just makes you want to sit and pet him for a while. Cooper with all his energy and desire to do things fun, needs a fenced yard and maybe just maybe you could offer him kids and another dog to occupy hours of fun and playtime.  He is smart as he is handsome.  Learning leash manners and he is willing to obey if you do the practice every day for a while.  This boy loves life and you will love Cooper.   If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 5, 2025, 12:03 pm

Story
Meet Henry – A Gentle Soul Ready for the Love He’s Never Known Just look at that face — the kind, hopeful eyes and the biggest, most joyful grin you’ve ever seen. That’s Henry, and he’s smiling because, at 6 years old, he just experienced his very first bath. A small thing to most dogs, but for Henry, it was a moment of love, care, and attention he had waited a lifetime to feel. It was his spa day — a celebration of a fresh start, of a life that’s finally turning a corner. Henry’s story begins back in 2019, when he was just a 6-week-old pup, full of wonder and trust. He was adopted by a family who, sadly, didn’t keep that promise of forever. He was soon discarded — left behind at a relative’s house where he lived largely ignored and forgotten. When asked if they wanted him back, the answer was chilling: “If I get him, I’ll just take him out in the field and shoot him.” But that wasn’t the end of Henry’s story. That was the beginning of his rescue. Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in, wrapping him in the care, safety, and dignity that he always deserved. And Henry? Despite the heartbreak, despite the neglect, he is still one of the sweetest, most forgiving, most loving dogs you could ever meet. His heart is big. His spirit is unbroken. And his tail still wags with hope. Henry is an Australian Shepherd mix, weighing 41 pounds — a perfect size for cuddling, road tripping, and everything in between. He’s wonderful with people, great with other dogs, and so eager to learn. He's still brushing up on house manners, but his intelligence and desire to please make him a joy to work with. He’s gentle, solid, and has a calm presence that brings peace wherever he goes. Henry has never truly had a family that saw him — not really. Not as the loyal, loving, tender-hearted companion he is. But that’s going to change. Because the right person, the right family, will see the treasure he is. They’ll see the gratitude in his eyes, the joy in his walk, the comfort in his quiet companionship. He’s ready to be your couch buddy, your walking pal, your faithful shadow. He’s the perfect age — past the puppy chaos, but with years of life and love still ahead. What he needs now is someone to show him that he’s home. For good. If you feel your heart pulling toward Henry — if you believe in second chances and forever love — please reach out. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and ask about Henry. Let’s write the next chapter of Henry’s story — one filled with laughter, security, adventure, and above all, love. He’s waited a long time. Now it’s his turn         PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 18, 2025, 10:04 am

Story
Meet Mini-Coop — the tiny adventurer with a heart as big as his beautiful blue eyes!  Just like the iconic little car he's named after, Mini-Coop is compact, eye-catching, and built for adventure. This adorable Red Merle boy was the runt of his litter of ten, but don’t let his size fool you—Mini-Coop is full of personality, curiosity, and quiet determination. Born on April 13th to a stunning, sweet-natured Blue Merle Aussie momma with piercing blue eyes, Mini-Coop has inherited her gentle spirit and her striking good looks. While we don’t know who dad was, this litter is showing strong Aussie traits, and Mini-Coop is no exception. Mini-Coop may start off shy and reserved, but once he knows he can trust you, his affection shines through. He’s playful and sweet, often busy exploring the world around him with wide-eyed wonder. Whether he's sniffing out new corners of the backyard or testing the doggie door with growing confidence, this little guy is smart and eager to learn. He’s doing great with his potty training and loves having a routine, especially when it involves time spent outside discovering the great outdoors.   What makes Mini-Coop truly special is his mix of thoughtful calm and playful energy. He’s not the boldest of the bunch, but he’s incredibly soulful and connected—the kind of puppy who will bond deeply with his forever family. He thrives with gentle guidance, love, and a bit of patience as he comes out of his shell. Because of his love for being outside and exploring, we’re requiring a home with a securely fenced yard and a family that enjoys the outdoors and is committed to helping him grow into the confident, joyful companion he’s meant to be.   Mini-Coop is expected to stay on the smaller side and will make a perfect family dog for those who want a loyal, smart, and stunningly beautiful Aussie mix to grow up with. He’s currently being fostered in Tennessee and will be available to join his forever family in the Northeast on July 11th via our safe and professional transport service.   If you’ve been dreaming of a puppy who’s both tender and adventurous, full of love, and ready to be your loyal sidekick, Mini-Coop is the one. He’s ready for a fresh start, full of hikes, cuddles, and a life where he finally belongs.   Please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you’re interested in giving Mini-Coop the forever home he deserves.(Be sure to let us know where you’re located when you reach out!)   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 17, 2025, 11:52 am

Story
Hi, everyone. My name is Special Stella, and I am a beloved, fun, well-trained 5 year old Yellow Lab/Aussie mix girl that is only 50 pounds and who is looking for a new home without young children.  I have been with my young couple, mom and dad.For the past four years, and I have been very happy and loved. And during that time, it was discovered that young energetic children made me nervous.   Now my mom and dad are having a baby and they say it would be best if I went to a home with no young young children and yeah, would be best.If I was the only dog unless I lived with a submissive male, that would not challenge me to be the top dog.   I have lived with a cat and my only bad habit is I love cat food. I am housebroken and crate, trained and leash trained, and I know commands. And I am a very good girl. That will be your buddy, rick riding around town and your suv or a pickup truck or going out on the lake in the boat for the summer months.  I'm really a good girl, but I just have 2 things that I probably do. Don't meet in my life and that is a dominant dog around me and young children. That are you being what god made them to be,  young, energetic and loud and sometimes a little too quick to make movements that make me nervous.   We are all heartbroken that I have to find a new home. Critter Cavalry promised my Dad, who originally adopted me just to be his buddy before he got married, that they would help me find the perfect place for me to live out the next ten years or more of my life.   I promise to be the best companion you've ever had.   Please consider me to come and live with you and watch TV. At your feet or go for hikes. In the woods or just take naps in the afternoon on a lazy Winter day.  I am fully vetted and microchipped and come with great dog manners and very few bad habits. Unless you have a cat and I try to eat their food.  Please consider me and write to Critter.Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.  Tell them where you live: city and state.   They are based in Tennessee and not only adoot to Tennessee, but also transport to the Northeast.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 27, 2025, 5:16 pm
