Story
Hi, I'm new here! Please reach out for more information and a Maggie volunteer will be in touch soon! Did you know that when you adopt from the Maggie Society, your new family member comes with two copies of vet records. All Maggie dogs are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention prior to adoption. Your adoption fee goes towards the vetting of another dog or puppy in need. If interested in adopting, please complete an application. An approved application from The Maggie Society is valid for up to one year. It is not necessary to complete additional applications for dogs or puppies of interest if you have already been approved. Please reach out to the Maggie Society or your adoption counselor for a meet and greet!

Story
I got Muncy from the breeder about 3 years ago when he was just born. Since then, he has been my closest partner through thick and thin. He is high energy and loves to explore - from hiking to paddle boarding, Muncy is ready for it all. As expected with herding breeds, Muncy is very loyal and can be very protective of his owners. Fortunately/unfortunately I am preparing for the birth of my first child and will not be able to provide the care that Muncy needs during this next adventure of my life. Muncy is very smart and well trained to multiple commands. In his next home, I am hoping to find a good owner that will be able to give Muncy the attention he deserves and provide an opportunity for Muncy to run freely and play consistently.

Story
This charming pup is named Waylon. We’ve been informed that he is an Aussie/Pit mix. Initially, he can be quite nervous, but he warms up quickly. We can understand this; having spent his entire life with one family, transitioning to two different shelters in just four days can be quite frightening. Waylon loves to sit in the staff`s laps and soak up attention. He arrived at the shelter with a severe ear infection, but thanks to East Carolina Veterinary Service, he is on the path to recovery.Waylon genuinely wants to trust people and craves love and affection. Earning his trust is truly worthwhile because once you do, he becomes the sweetest boy in the world. As he is still new to HSEC, he may become less shy and more eager to connect over time. We are thrilled to witness this beautiful soul come out of his shell and begin anew with someone who won’t give up on him. He truly deserves a life filled with unconditional love.

Story
Hey there, folks – Buck here! I may not have a cowboy hat, but I've got all the charm and loyalty you'd expect from a pup named after a good ol' country boy. With my handsome looks and a personality as big as the open road, I’m ready to find my forever home where I can be your trusty sidekick. I’m an Australian Shepherd, American Pit Bull Terrier, Collie, and Beagle mix, which means I’ve got a little bit of everything – smarts, energy, and a whole lotta heart. Whether it’s a game of fetch, a long walk under the stars, or just kickin’ back on the porch, I’m up for it all. I'm playful, affectionate, and always ready to brighten your day with my wagging tail and puppy kisses. So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who'll stick by your side through thick and thin, I reckon I just might be the one for you. Saddle up and let’s make some memories together!

Story
Meet Ash! Ash is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a boundless capacity for love and a curiosity that keeps her exploring the world. This sweet and playful girl adores being the center of attention and will happily soak up all the affection you can give. She’s happiest when she’s with her people, always eager to please and stay close. Ash thrives on active play and loves roughhousing with her big foster brother. She’s a quick learner, excelling in her training and always ready to tackle new challenges with enthusiasm. A fenced-in yard would be perfect for this energetic pup to safely burn off energy while she continues to blossom into her best self. Though she hasn’t had the chance to meet kids yet, Ash is wonderful with other dogs and is housebroken—a big plus for any prospective family. If you’re looking for a devoted, lively companion who will bring endless joy, Ash is ready to join your pack and make every day an adventure! Ash is ready to find her forever family—could that be you? ##2244974##
