Miss Birdie is an adorable tricolored Mini Australian Shepherd who recently came to FDHS as a stray, and to everyone’s surprise, was never reclaimed by her previous family.This little lady is pretty much walking perfection! She’s got the looks, the vibe, and the sweetest personality to match. Birdie has been an absolute dream for our staff to handle and has even been curious about making friends with the other shelter animals.We have a feeling this sweet girl won’t be hanging around FDHS for long!**Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date one vaccines & monthly prevention. Hello future friends, my name is Thistle!I’m a tiny Australian Shepherd mix, probably only about a year old, and I’m still learning that the world isn’t quite as scary as I once thought. I came to FDHS as a stray after being found by our local Dog Warden. I arrived in pretty rough shape, with patches of fur missing and the rest covered in fleas and debris. I was terrified of people at first, but after a few days, the humans here finally earned my trust and I even got a much needed bath!I’m still a shy girl, especially around new people and situations. I think I need someone who understands that slow and steady is the way to my heart. Once I trust you, I’m an entirely different dog. I LOVE being snuggled and held, and I want to be glued right to my favorite human’s side. Belly rubs and yummy treats are also helping me realize that these two legged creatures might actually be pretty awesome.I’ve shown interest in other animals and would likely enjoy having some furry friends. I’m looking for someone patient and kind who is willing to give me the time I need to blossom. Rescue experience would be wonderful, but all you really need is a little patience, a lot of love and the willingness to let me find my confidence. I promise, once I do, you’ll have one very loving little shadow by your side.

Binx is a 1-year-old Aussie mix weighing 29 pounds. She was caught after she was dumped on a state road. She had a badly injured leg, but it is now healed. We did an Embark DNA test on her. The results are in the photos. She is a gentle, sweet, active girl. She requires an active home with walks, hiking, running or other activity. Her foster has started her on an agility course which she enjoys. She must have a secured fenced in yard. Binx is spayed, up to date on shots, rabies and heartworm negative and on prevention. She does well with dogs and knows her basic commands. She loves to snuggle in bed with you. She gets a little anxious in a crate but enjoys a kong to help her relax. Her adoption fee is $425 ##2575367##

He’s an amazing dog Breaks my heart to see him leaveHe had strangles when he was a puppy. Thankfully, he made a full recovery. Although he’s left with a sensitivity to fleas, so if he missed a flea treatment he’ll start to lose hair. If kept up on he doesn’t have issues. He tires out quickly, although he loves to play and then cuddle and take a nap afterwards.
