SPOT is a petite guy, but while he may be small in stature, his heart is huge. SPOT loves everyone. He is good with cats, kids, and other dogs. Because he loves to play as much as he does (the world is his playground), if you have another dog that dog should love to enjoy romping and playing because SPOT is an in your face kind of playmate. His enthusiasm for life sometimes has him literally jumping for joy and that includes around kids. Of course, SPOT can be trained not to jump, but in the meantime, he might jump on little kids. SPOT has beautiful merle markings and one eye is marbled with blue which is caused by the same gene that creates the merle pattern that Aussies are famous for. Fawn is a lovely one-year old female Australian Shepherd mix who was brought to the HSOV on February 11, 2026 by a Good Samaritan who found her on Straight Run Road in the Lowell Ohio area. Fawn was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. This beautiful young lady has a white-and tan coat with tan/auburn spotting/ticking, a long tail, and an adorable face with hopeful innocent brown eyes, a black button nose, a slender muzzle, and short floppy ears with are fringed with longer hair. We took first photos of Fawn in her large floor cage on February 12th and fell head-over-heels in love with this little sweetheart. Fawn was the perfect lady and was quite the charmer as she looked in the eyes of the photographer and the camera lens. These photos were taken on February 14th when Fawn was enjoying some fresh air, sunshine, and out-of-cage time in an outdoor kennel. Fawn was the perfect Valentine that day. This little beauty has melted the hearts of everyone who has met her. Fawn appears to be good with other dogs, and she is good with her people friends (including children). Fawn was understandably a bit nervous about being in an unfamiliar place with so many dogs nearby, but we've discovered that she quickly warms up and responds to gentle/soft conversation and is soon your new best friend. Fawn went home with a foster family on February 27th who offered her a short-term temporary home and have given her some wonderful publicity on Facebook .. And they have also confirmed that Fawn is good with cats in addition to other dogs. Fawn weighs 42 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash. Fawn was spayed on February 23rd 2026 and was given rabies vaccine .. So she is ready to find a loving home of her very own.

Meet Reggie. Reggie is a 5-year-young male Australian Shepherd weighing 93 pounds of fluffy, gentle goodness. This sweet boy somehow found himself without anyone to claim him, but we know his perfect family is out there just waiting to meet him.Shelter life can be a little overwhelming, so Reggie is shy in his kennel — but don’t let that fool you. He’s very friendly, just a sensitive soul taking it all in. Once you get him outside, he truly enjoys his walks, and you might even catch a little tail wag. Reggie keeps his kennel clean and he is not a barker. Unlike many Aussies, Reggie has a low energy level. He’s not looking to run a marathon — he’d much prefer leisurely strolls and then relaxing by your side. He does have a little junk in the trunk at the moment, but with regular walks and some consistency, he’ll have that beach body ready in time for summer. We are looking for a home environment for Reggie. No apartments for him. Because he was found as a stray, we don’t have much history on him. Compatibility with children, cats, and other dogs is unknown. In the shelter environment, Reggie seems unfazed by the other dogs. As always, a meet and greet with your resident canine is required.Reggie is available through our foster-to-adopt program, which includes vaccinations, microchipping, and heartworm testing. You get to foster him in your home while he finishes his vetting at the shelter vet. Maple is a sweet, sweet girl who loves to go for walks, runs, and play fetch outside and she loves to snuggle. She is 1 year and 3 months old. We rescued her when she was a puppy, she and her siblings were found in an unsafe home, and we have had her for a little over a year. She is spayed and up to date on shots as of last month. She will come with a year supply of heart guard which I just purchased, a large bag of food, dog bed, and all of her favorite balls and chuck-it for playing fetch. We are heartbroken that we need to rehome Maple. We wanted her to be our family pet so badly, however she does not get along with our senior bulldog. She has gone after him and bit him over a piece of food he’s found a handful of times and she does not let go of him until pulled off. We do believe Maple should be in a home where she is the only pet. She is otherwise a FANTASTIC dog. Could probably use training on being with dogs. But we have a baby and young kids and have this issue.
