Story
Blitz5-month-old Male | Australian Shepherd / Labrador Retriever MixBlitz is a handsome, happy boy with his dad’s coloring and just the right amount of fluffy fur — soft and cute without the need for heavy grooming. At 5 months old, he currently weighs about 34 lbs and is expected to grow into a 40–60 lb adult, based on the size of his parents.Blitz is sweet, social, and smart, a wonderful combo thanks to his Aussie and Lab roots. He enjoys people, is eager to learn, and will thrive in a home ready to continue his training. Like most puppies, he’ll need help with house training, but he’s at the perfect age to catch on quickly and can already hold his bladder for several hours at a time.Blitz came to us through our Pawsitive Planned Parenthood program, ensuring a brighter future for both him and his mom. He has already been vaccinated, dewormed, and started on heartworm and flea & tick prevention. Before adoption, Blitz will be neutered, microchipped, and receive his rabies vaccine. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving pup with both brains and charm, Blitz may be your perfect match.Blitz's adoption fee is $300.You can apply on our website www.highlandhumanesociety.org OR stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Monday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Story
Super loving dog. Loves hugs and petting and being around people. Very respectful, taught never to lick your hands. Listens to commands very well. High energy and playful at his age (9yrs old) but acts like a pup. He is not Neutered, so he is very loving to other dogs (overwhelmingly) so its your choice to neuter him to calm his emotions in this regard.

Story
Piper is 6 years old and the smartest dog I’ve ever owned. We rescued Piper from an Amish farm — one farm had pure bred Aussies, the neighbor farm had pure bred Border Collies, Piper was part of an accidental mixed litter. Piper mastered “sit”, “stay”, “lay down”, and “come” within a few weeks of coming home. She now responds to all four commands in sign-language: ✊, ✋, 👇, 🤌. When not on leash, she may dart away but always comes back. At home, she can confidently be trusted without one. Piper is a cuddler, a lover, and obsessed with her master. Piper is also too aware to cope with our children: 19 month old and 4 month old. We’ve never had a safety issue, never a bite or anything close. Piper is just jealous and now barks at us, often. We aren’t able to give her the attention or exercise she needs. We plan to have more children. If you need a best friend, have land, or older children: she’s an amazing dog. I will miss her.. Fees can be waived for the right home.

Story
I adopted my dog from a lady who had puppies from her Aussie girl dog and bloodtick coonhound boy dog. She will be one in May. I unfortunately have to move out of my home I just bought and into a trailer. She has a lot of energy and needs a yard to run in. She sweet, playful, kissy, energetic, smart, and restless. She responds to sit, paw, high five, sit, lay. She behaves well with a shock collar on. The collar doesn’t get used anymore she just behaves with it on her neck but without use. She is cage trained when she needs to be. No house accidents since she was a tiny puppy. She been around cats, dogs, and kids of all ages. She loves outdoors and does well with taking a bath. Also will give any leftover food, large crate, toys, leash, shampoo that we have for her.
