Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. "She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! Teach me who you want me to be and I will learn! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED! Now I am in my foster home and learning the "ropes" ;) Potty training is getting better every day, I mean our foster mom takes us out often for potty control and I am really working hard to wait for the next jaunt outside! I also am crate training too! I don't like to pee or poop where I sleep- as long as I don't eat right before bed and go outside as soon as I wake up I am doing great!! I seriously am ready for my family, I LOVE to play and am great with all dogs big, small, old or babies. AND i have one half BLUE EYE!! The better to see you with, my new family! :) ADOPT ME SOON!! Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. (my mom and brother found a safe place too) So here i am at the rescue, just waiting to be discovered by my real forever family and I have some things to tell you about me.... Story
Fenrir is a very sweet ~9 year old puppy who loves snuggles and attention. He has been a part of our family for nearly a decade but due to a recent move and allergies in the home we are looking to re-home him. He is very smart, trainable, and loving - but has minimal socializing with other dogs so he leads by barking. Despite a loud bark, he's never been aggressive towards other dogs. He does well with cats and kids. He loves to run free in a fenced in backyard but also does well on a leash. A small quirk is that he HATES trains. We moved near train tracks and he will bark/howl through the night if he hears one (and with those ears he hears EVERYTHING). We also have allergies in the house and he requires a lot of grooming upkeep due to his coat. He is a very good boy and it was with a heavy heart we made this decision.
