Story
We bought him off of an Amish family here in Ohio about 3 years ago. However we were inexperienced with this breed and have realized he isn't a good fit for where we live. We live right next to a horse farm and he can't be let loose to run because he wants to go straight there. He also is very good with our family but acts aggressive if anyone else comes around. So there are behavioral issues that I think may be resolved with someone who knows more about this breed.

Story
RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Wild Bill, the irresistible young Aussie mix that's a bundle of boundless energy and pure affection. This handsome guy is housebroken, does well in crowds and is a social butterfly! His person must have been a female because when he hears a woman's voice, he gets so excited as if he is still looking for them. With an endless zest for life, this pup lives for the thrill of walks and is doing very well with basic commands through the DASH Prison Training Program. Willie, as his handler calls him, has learned sit, wait, stay, leave it, down & free. He is currently working on the heel command, along with his leash walking & knowing the human is supposed to be in control. He tends to pull when he sees women or dogs. He is crate trained and has not barked while in his crate. He loves to play with other dogs but loves humans even more. His handler says "you would have a hard time finding a dog that loves people as much as he does"!!  He seeks attention, cuddles and snuggles, this love bug insists on sleeping with his beloved humans. Wild Bill is eagerly searching for his forever home, a place where his energetic spirit and un-wavering devotion can truly shine. We have found he does NOT like male dogs & has not been cat or kid tested, so proper introductions would be in order, especially with the tiny-tots, given his age & energy level. Don't miss the chance to make this lovable guy a part of your family! Apply today. If you are interested in Wild Bill, the first step in our adoption process is to submit an application on our website at www.dashanimalrescue.org.  Thank you!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 5:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Luna Eclipse is a beautiful, young Aussie Doodle. Her journey has been marked by uncertainty, but her spirit remains unbroken. As a young girl bursting with energy, she's a whirlwind of enthusiasm, ready to embark on adventures with her forever family. She loves making new pals (both human and furry) and loves snuggling up on the furniture. Though her boundless energy sometimes leads to enthusiastic jumps, she's mastering manners through the DASH Prison Training program. While Luna likes other dogs, she doesn’t like sharing her toys with other dogs or humans. For this reason, we feel she would be best as an only animal and in a home without children. If you're interested in adoption, the first step in our adoption process is to submit an online application from our website, www.dashanimalrescue.org Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 5:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Buddy is a young beautiful lad who came to our rescue very scared and timid.  But with the help of the DASH Prison Training program he is making huge strides and earning the trust of his handler. He does have sensitivity to sound but a good snuggle on the couch or bed seems to make him feel safe. He will need a home where he can gain his confidence and learn how to be a valued family member.  He is not a fan of water, has not shown a hyperactive side and gets along well with other dogs.  He has not illustrated any aggression with his food or toys but is still learning that having people in his life is a good thing.  Buddy has not been child or cat tested so a proper introduction is in order. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 5:07 pm
