Story
Ace is a very high energy dog. He loves to play outside and loves water. He plays well with our male Tibetan mastiff and loves to cuddle with our 8 year old son. But, he has had a difficult time adjusting to our new baby and does not like her. The vet says it is his breed to choose who is in his herd and he has decided that she is not unfortunately. We really would like him to find the perfect home that will love him just as much as we do and maybe more space for him to run around and play. Maybe another high energy dog to keep him company. He is still intact but we are willing to pay for the neuter if you would like. He knows sit, down, shake, up, wait and very easy to train as he is very food motivated. He has lived inside all his life so we would still like him to be an inside dog. He loves to be next to his people. Ace would love a meet and greet ! Purebred paperwork available shots are up to date and can get vet record Is currently on Nexguard flea and tick

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application ›   Meet Korra!!  This sweet baby has recently joined our DASH Prison Training Program & is learning puppy manners & good girl commands to find the best home possible. We're not sure how big she'll get but she sure has a big personality! She has already learned "sit", can walk on a leash & is housebroken. She is working on crate training with great self composure for such a baby! She's also learned down, wait, & leave it. She gets energetic when playing with other dogs but calms down & loves to snuggle when it's time to relax. Her trainer says she is a happy girl, loves playing with her toys & other dogs. She loves people & would love to find her forever home while she's still a puppy! No baby should have to grow up in prison!! Please consider this precious one for your home! If you're interested, our first step in our adoption process is to submit an application online from our website. www.dashanimalrescue.org    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 4, 2023, 2:34 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Titan! From his former foster; Titan is a sweet, gentle giant. He loves to jump and run and loves to play with and cuddle his person. He is still a pup, so he gets really excited and jumps some and is working on basic training. He also cries in his crate when he wants more attention-but quiets pretty quickly. He is still getting used to walking on a leash but is learning fast! He learned how to go inside, outside, in and out of his crate, and up and down stairs all in a few days. Titan looks the most like a taller poodle-very curly and soft as a cloud. He doesn't mind if you want to cuddle him extra and let him lick you. So far, he is great with people of all ages, dogs of different ages, and doesn't even sniff at our cats. Working on leash, and potty training (but no accidents inside yet) and having more confidence. --- This love bug has been in the DASH Prison Training Program where he has been improving his puppy manners, working on basic commands & has come a long way. His trainer says Titan is "calm & affectionate, loves being loved on". He reports he is doing well with leash walking, is mostly housetrained, loves all people & other dogs! He has learned sit but is still working on other skills to be a well rounded boy. He is an excitable pup but is very intelligent & learns quickly with repe tition. As with all pups he will need continued reinforcement of training as he acclimates to his new home. After working on these things he is ready for his forever family & will be available shortly! If you're interested, our first step in our adoption process is to submit an application online from our website. www.dashanimalrescue.org    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 4, 2023, 2:34 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Winston (we call him Winnie)! He could be your best friend forever! He is very smart and sweet, and after he is done playing-he would be happy to lie in your lap forever. Winston is learning his manners in The DASH Prison Training Program & will be available very soon. While there he has learned commands like come, sit, stay & heel while he walks on a leash. He is potty trained & doesn't bark in his crate but would much rather be cuddling beside his people! Of course, like all younguns, he will need ongoing training to reinforce his commands. He is a smart boy & learns quickly so he will be up for learning new tricks with his new family!! His former foster says he plays really well with all other dogs doesn't even seem to mind the cats. He just wants to lick and be petted by people of all ages. We think he's a very smart boy, like all his siblings, because he has learned how to go inside/outside, an d in and out of his crate within a few days. So far he hasn't had any accidents inside, and just seems to want some extra love and playing. He is a GIANT lapdog-he has napped on everyone's lap in his foster home. Come meet this snuggle boy & find your new buddy! Story
Cooper is a handsome 9-year old male Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler-Australian Shepherd mix who was surrendered by his owner on May 19, 2023. Cooper has a black-and-gray short smooth coat, a long tail, and the sweetest face with baby blue eyes, beige/gray eyebrows, gray shading on his muzzle, and short floppy ears. Cooper was smiling in most of his photos which were taken in our Receiving area when he was originally in our shelter in early January 2023. Cooper had the most adorable facial expressions as he looked at the camera. We look forward to taking updated outdoor photos of this gorgeous boy. Cooper currently weighs 60.4 lbs. He does not get along with smaller dogs. Cooper was neutered on February 14, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine. Cooper was adopted from HSOV in March 2023 but was returned on May 19th because of an unfortunate incident when Cooper was apparently startled by someone who was straightening up his blankets and reacted inappropriately (and made contact with that individual with his teeth) :( In compliance with our policy/procedures, Cooper was assessed and quarantined for the 10-day period with no further incidents.

Story
Meet Basil (pronounced 'Bay-Sil' like the herb, not the British pronunciation) Gender: Female Age: 2 years and 9 months Current Weight: 40 lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Miniature American Shepherd/Border Collie/German Shepherd mix Energy Level: Medium-High Dog Friendly: No, and cannot live with other dogs. Basil plays very well with the two other dogs she lives with, but is occasionally aggressive with the smaller one. She is also very anxious and fearful around new dogs and this presents as reactivity that can be aggressive. She does some resource-guarding with other animals but not people. Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Yes, any age Apartment Friendly: Unknown Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence required, any height Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Likes: Basil loves playing frisbee, running off-leash in contained areas away from other dogs, peanut butter, Trader Joe's maple/pumpkin/bacon "Stuffies" that come out every fall, sleeping on the couch or in bed, getting morning and evening snuggles (she's very affectionate), and swimming. She also loves belly and ear rubs and being outside in the sun and 'hunting' for squirrels/rabbits as much as possible. Dislikes: She gets car sick (so usually don't feed her before long car rides) and has some minor separation anxiety when left alone. She also has a natural prey drive and is not a big fan of squirrels and bunnies. Ideal Home/Adopter: Basil would do so well as the only dog in a home with more than one person; she would thrive having other people and kids to play with and who would throw the frisbee for her. She is also used to having someone home most of the time and love the idea of her having an adult who works from home or is a stay-at-home parent. What makes this dog special: Basil is truly the most beautiful dog we have ever met and she is so athletic and smart and good-natured with people. She loves to run and play and has learned how to catch the frisbee (her favorite thing). Basil's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Basil, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##1669708##
