You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Welcome Jupiter to DASH! This young girl came to DASH from a rural shelter in southern Ohio. She is housebroken, very sweet and enjoys being with her person. She is a high activity girl and will need an active person or family who can give her an outlet for that energy. She is said to be crate trained, housebroken and walks well on a leash. She is currently in our DASH Prison program where her handler says "Jupiter is a fun loving and ready to please dog. she loves fetch or laying around with her person. She gets along with all the dogs she has met. She is ready to melt your heart with her constant licks of love and loves being loved on!" She has not been kid or cat tested. RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

5yo Australian Shepherd seeking an experienced, active home. Previous owners report he did well with cats/children. Since coming to us, he has shown anxiety during transition and with some resource guarding initially. A few stressful moments during transition led to teeth contact early on, but no injuries or broken skin. He has warmed up to us well and we have had no issues since. He responds very well to training, knows "leave it," but does not get along with our cats. High energy, smart, affectionate, and eager to please. Loves belly rubs, cuddles, treats, running, and catching toys. Great in the car, at the vet, and not destructive. He is potty, leash, and crate trained. Needs structure, exercise, and a committed owner to help him thrive.

After a rough start to life, these Aussie mix puppies are thriving in their foster home. They were dumped in rural Mississippi and found by a caring FedEx driver as they huddled on a trash pile on the side of the road. Now they have learned to trust people and love to play and snuggle. They will be ready for forever homes after 3/6. They are located in Memphis, but can be transported to the Midwest, Colorado and the Northeast for an additional fee.
