Story
Hello! My name is Percy! I am looking for a new home that will be comfortable and calm for me. I love to run after a ball or stick, and I do pretty good on a leash. I like to snuggle, and prefer to be wherever my person is. I am looking for a home with older kids or no kids, as little kids are a bit scary for me. I do well with chickens, cats, and other dogs. Percy is a good dog. Hes about 7 years old. We got him from a lady that does breed, but didnt mean for the litter to happen. Percy is a calm, loving dog, he prefers to be wherever you are. We have a big backyard, but he doesnt like to be out there unless we are. We just want a home for him that is calm and can pay attention to him when you are home. We have 3 kids under 5, and he is very anxious around them and doesnt prefer to be around them. So no young kids, but older ones are fine!

Story
Bailey is an 8 and a half year old Australian Shepard who loves her walks and big open spaces! Shes great at playing fetch as well and loves to play! Bailey is a timid pup but very friendly and good with other dogs. Baileys ideal hone would be in a house with a yard for her to be able to roam and explore. While she does like to explore at home she does have some anxiety while driving and would ideally need a home where she isn't moved around often as well.

Here's what you need to know about me:I recently became a TRIPOD! That means I only have three legs, my front left leg was injured beyond repair when I arrived at the shelter. My friends at the shelter can tell you more about my medical condition and how to take care of me.I'm friendly and affectionate with people, and pretty easy going, too! Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along. What my friends at OHS say about me:I have been working with the Behavior team at OHS and I'm looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. Click the "meet me" button to start the process and schedule an appointment. To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.I love to learn! You can use my favorite toys or treats as positive reinforcement and to teach me new things. I already know some basic cues such as, sit, down, & stay, and I'm putting in the work to learn how o walk nicely on leash.High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.I am used to living an active lifestyle! I would love to get up and go adventure with you. Walks, hikes, and trips to the beach or river all sound like a grand time to me!I can't wait to show my new family how playful I am!There is a 100% chance I will make you fall in love with me!The type of home I'm looking for: I need to go to a home without small children. I may accidently knock them over in my excitement or try to steal their toys to play with.I need to be the only dog in the home.I need a home without cats or other small animals. It could be with you! Story
Hoshi is a sweet and smart 5-year-old Australian Shepherd. We got her as a puppy from a pet store when she was 8 weeks old. Hoshi loves cuddles, belly rubs, and playing, and is good with children, but she has some behavioral issues. She barks a lot, and she pulls during all her walks. She is a protective dog. When at home, she will bark excessively at anyone or anything that gets close. She has never attacked a person or another dog, but she will bark and pull towards them if she sees them. In the few instances that she has managed to get off her leash, she has only continued to bark at the person or dog, but never anything else. Hoshi has been described as aggressive, and people are often afraid of her. I tried doggy daycare twice, but she was turned away because she was highly anxious and just stood in a corner all by herself. She has needed trazodone before all vet appointments. With a heavy heart, I am making the decision today to find her a new home.

Story
Guinness is a 7 month old Australian/English Shepherd mix. He weighs 35 pounds and is up to date on all vaccines. He was born blind in his left eye but doesn't know it and has no barriers from it. He is a confident puppy with a very friendly and outgoing personality. He’s the best car rider, it puts him to sleep usually, and loves to go anywhere. He's great with other dogs who want to play. He has a curiosity about cats but hasn’t been around them much. While he is friendly with kids, he hasn’t quite mastered not jumping or mouthing which might not be suited for small children. His energy level is on the high side, typical for his breed. He's house and crate trained and reliably knows commands - sit, down, stay, and go to your bed. He's making steady progress on calm greetings/anti-jumping and impulse control. He still needs the most work on leash and not mouthing. Sadly, my circumstances changed and I cant give him the stimulation and activity he deserves and needs.
