Story
BANJO – Male Australian Shepherd | 2 Years Old | 55 lbs | Healthy, Vaccinated & Neutered Meet Banjo, the gentle soul with a heart as big as his gorgeous eyes! At 2 years old, Banjo is a perfect blend of playful energy and loving companionship. He adores people, thrives on affection, and has a calm, patient nature that makes him an instant friend to everyone he meets. Whether it’s a stroll in the park, a game of fetch, or curling up for a quiet evening together, Banjo brings joy, warmth, and steady love to every moment. Breed Info: Australian Shepherds are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and boundless affection. They are energetic and curious, loving both physical and mental stimulation. With proper training, they become devoted companions, always eager to bond with their families. Banjo’s loving and gentle personality makes him ideal for homes that can provide exercise, structure, and plenty of attention. Owner Responsibilities: Banjo thrives with consistent care, exercise, and interaction. Daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation will keep him happy and healthy. Provide him with a balanced diet, regular grooming, and continued positive training — and you’ll have a loyal best friend who adores you unconditionally. Things to Consider Before Adopting: Before bringing Banjo home, consider: Do you have time for daily walks, play, and quality bonding? Are you ready for a medium-high energy dog who loves to stay active? Is your home and landlord pet-friendly? Can you commit to a dog for his entire lifetime, through moves, life changes, and everyday life? Are you prepared to continue training and enrichment throughout his life? A dog is forever family — make sure you’re ready to open your heart and home completely. Vet Care: Banjo is healthy, vaccinated, and neutered. Even though he’s in great shape, please schedule a visit with your trusted vet soon after adoption to establish ongoing care and wellness. The 3-3-3 Rule & Commitment for Life: The first 3 days: Let him decompress and get comfortable with his new surroundings. The first 3 weeks: Banjo will learn your home, your routine, and begin to trust you completely. The first 3 months: He’ll know he’s truly home, safe, and loved. Adoption is a lifelong promise — a commitment to love, patience, and joy that grows every day. Why Banjo Would Be a Great Addition: Banjo’s gentle, loving nature and playful spirit make him a true heart-stealer. He’s a dog who will follow you around with loyalty, greet you with joy, and curl up beside you at the end of the day, reminding you that home is where the heart is. Banjo isn’t just a dog — he’s a companion, a confidant, and a friend who will fill your life with laughter, love, and warmth every single day. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. Story
Carmela is a wonderfully loving dog with a joyful, playful spirit. She especially enjoys jumping around and has an abundance of energy. Although I have taken her to training classes, we didn’t make the progress I had hoped for. She learns quickly and still has that sweet puppy heart. She adores her toys, treats, snuggle blankets, and her big pink pillow. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to keep her. Her bark is very high-pitched, and with my hearing aids I receive frequent warnings, which has made it too difficult to manage. Carmela is very gentle and affectionate with my grandchildren, but she is a jumper; now that she has grown, she’s taller than my granddaughter when she jumps. She only wants to play—she doesn’t realize that her enthusiasm can cause issues. She truly is my little spring. I had her fixed hoping it might help with her barking, but sadly it did not. I wish with all my heart that I could keep her, because she really is a sweet, loving girl. toys, blankets, pen

Story
Pixie is a thoroughbred Toy Miniature Australian Shepard. She has papers. She is chipped also. She is also 5 years old. She just turned 5 on October the 15th. She doesn't chew on anything. She needs a yard to run in. She needs someone who doesn't mind being licked all the time. It's her love language. She is a really good dog. I work and I am gone a lot. Sometimes 12 hours a day. She is papered trained, but she does go outside to potty. She is a beautiful loving dog. She has blue eyes She doesn't bite, but she has been abused in her past, so she's scared, but that can change with the right person. She needs to be the only pet. If you have any other dogs. It won't work. She hides her food by putting a blanket over the bowl. She hasn't done that with me, but she is the only animal here.

Story
Bailey is an 8 and a half year old Australian Shepard who loves her walks and big open spaces! Shes great at playing fetch as well and loves to play! Bailey is a timid pup but very friendly and good with other dogs. Baileys ideal hone would be in a house with a yard for her to be able to roam and explore. While she does like to explore at home she does have some anxiety while driving and would ideally need a home where she isn't moved around often as well.

Story
Rosalita and her sister Marietta were dumped in the country. A lady contacted me and brought them to me. Rosalita is the sweetest girl. She is happy, confident, and spunky. She weighs about 20 lbs and has two different colored eyes. She is great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. She is the perfect pocket-sized doggie friend. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative) Adoption fee: $600 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Abelia is the perfect dog. Loving, smart, beautiful, cuddly, stays with her person, active but not hyper, medium sized, adult but still young, great with dogs of all sizes, great with cats and kittens, walks well on the leash, does well in a crate, not a barker. She was dumped with another dog and a local resident reached out for help so the dogs wouldn't starve or get hit by a car. They are now safe at the rescue. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well.
