Story
Bella is a sweet, easygoing dog who loves being near her people. She’s comfortable staying home alone and is low-maintenance overall. Bella would be happy with one or two short, slow walks a day and some time spent close to her humans, but she’s also content to relax and nap.Bella is a very happy girl! She has mobility limitations and needs help with stairs and getting into vehicles, though she does well on flat ground at her own pace. Bella is friendly with other dogs, children, and groups of people. She plays with the other dogs at her foster home. Bella loves food, so due to her limited exercise she may benefit from portion or diet management. Her vet estimates her age to be around 7–9 years. She is hard of hearing. She previously had bladder issues and learned to use pee pads. While she now mostly goes outside, she may still use pads occasionallyBella was found tied to a post. She was no doubt loved by someone who couldn't care for her properly. After several vet visits she has a clean bill of health! If you need a retirement buddy, she's your girl! Her adoption donation is only $75She is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Story
Here's what you need to know about me:I'm Bandit! Not only am I handsome, in my last home I was crate trained & house trained! I love to be with my people, anything from fetch and jogging to hikes and camping- I'm down! I could use some help getting used to the car (I get a little carsick) but I'd be okay with neighborhood adventures too!I'm an active dog! I would love to go home with a family who can help me burn off energy with exercise, playtime, and outdoor adventures.I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable. But once I get to know you, I'm very loving.I have some handling sensitivity. That means I have some preferences about how and where I get petted. My human friends at the shelter can tell you more!I need a home without cats. We just don't get along - even if they don't mind me, I can't be in the same home with them.I need a space of my own. I sometimes have a hard time sharing my treats, toys, or bed with other pets. Ask an adoption counselor for more information.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please speak to an adoption counselor.I'm not on the general adoption floor. You might not see me when you come to visit. So please speak to an adoption counselor if you'd like to meet me. Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 75 Age: 1yrs 5mths 3wks

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to Portland for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is around 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs! Interested in becoming a forever home for Copper? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Copper. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Copper the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
