Story
Bailey is an 8 and a half year old Australian Shepard who loves her walks and big open spaces! Shes great at playing fetch as well and loves to play! Bailey is a timid pup but very friendly and good with other dogs. Baileys ideal hone would be in a house with a yard for her to be able to roam and explore. While she does like to explore at home she does have some anxiety while driving and would ideally need a home where she isn't moved around often as well.

Story
Hello! My name is Percy! I am looking for a new home that will be comfortable and calm for me. I love to run after a ball or stick, and I do pretty good on a leash. I like to snuggle, and prefer to be wherever my person is. I am looking for a home with older kids or no kids, as little kids are a bit scary for me. I do well with chickens, cats, and other dogs. Percy is a good dog. Hes about 7 years old. We got him from a lady that does breed, but didnt mean for the litter to happen. Percy is a calm, loving dog, he prefers to be wherever you are. We have a big backyard, but he doesnt like to be out there unless we are. We just want a home for him that is calm and can pay attention to him when you are home. We have 3 kids under 5, and he is very anxious around them and doesnt prefer to be around them. So no young kids, but older ones are fine!

Story
Rosalita and her sister Marietta were dumped in the country. A lady contacted me and brought them to me. Rosalita is the sweetest girl. She is happy, confident, and spunky. She weighs about 20 lbs and has two different colored eyes. She is great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. She is the perfect pocket-sized doggie friend. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative) Adoption fee: $600 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to Portland for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is around 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs! Interested in becoming a forever home for Copper? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Copper. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Copper the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Guinness is a 6 month old Australian/English Shepherd mix. He weighs 30 pounds and is up to date on all vaccines. He was born blind in his left eye but doesn’t know it and has no barriers from it. He is a confident puppy with a very friendly and outgoing personality. He’s the best car rider, it puts him to sleep usually, and loves to go anywhere. He’s great with other dogs who want to play. He has a curiosity about cats but hasn’t been around them much. While he is friendly with kids, he hasn’t quite mastered not jumping or mouthing which might not be suited for small children. His energy level is on the high side, typical for his breed. He’s house and crate trained and reliably knows commands - sit, down, stay, and go to your bed. He’s making steady progress on calm greetings/anti-jumping and impulse control. He still needs the most work on leash and not mouthing. Sadly, my circumstances changed and I can't give him the stimulation and activity he deserves and needs.
