APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. GINA…The LOVEBUG!! She is absolutely a wonderful dog. We’re not sure of the breed…maybe Australian Shepherd mix...maybe Anatolian Shepherd mix... maybe a touch of Saluki? DOB 3/1/25 (almost a year old). She is easy on the leash. She is okay in a crate… prefers to be out. She loves other dogs (even small ones) and leaves my cats alone. She is NOT high energy but loves to run and play and especially LOVES water! She still needs training… manners, house training (we’re working on it), and basic commands and she wants to please. Gina is a very sweet dog that everyone will love. She is 50#s but doesn’t really look that big. She is still young and may grow and put on another 5#s…but she is slender…and beautiful! This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
This is Max. I have had him for 5 years now. He is one of the sweetest boys. You have ever met. He has been with me since my son was born. He loves children loves people. You would never think that he would hate dogs. He does not like other adult dogs. He become possessive and aggressive with people around other dogs. I don't know where it came from. He was like that since I got him. But as of right now, he does not get along with my husband's too older senior dogs. He has bitten them over nothing. It's been very difficult and a big struggle to make this decision. He was with me since my son, who was born. And he is such a good boy.I just want to find him a better home where he can help you take care of your kids and love you and understand when you cry.Because he always loves to snuggle he is a big snuggler.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Koala! Koala is a 2-year-old, 35 lb Aussie/Spaniel mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter after being found tied to a fence. Despite her rough start, Koala is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl with so much love to give! She has striking, beautiful eyes ~ one blue and one brown ~ that perfectly match her unique personality! Koala can be shy and submissive when first meeting new people or entering new environments, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her true herding-breed energy comes through. She blossoms into an active, playful, and engaging dog who loves to move, explore, and learn. Koala is smart, treat-motivated, and eager to learn, making her a great candidate for continued training. She would thrive in a young, active home that enjoys hiking, running, and outdoor adventures. Having another friendly, playful dog in the home would be ideal for her both as a full-time playmate and to help boost her confidence as she continues to come out of her shell. She would do best in a standalone home with a yard. No apartments, condos or cats. Koala is very sweet and loving with her people and is just waiting for the right home to help her shine! Koala is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Dundee! Dundee is a 3-year-old, 52 lb Australian Shepherd who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. He’s a smart, loyal, and affectionate boy who forms strong bonds with his people and thrives when he has clear guidance and structure. As a true herding breed, Dundee is intelligent, driven, and always thinking. He is also very strong and can be an escape artist, capable of climbing most fences, so he will need a very secure setup and a handler who is confident, experienced, and committed to ongoing training and management. Because of this, Dundee is looking for a home with herding-breed experience and a lifestyle that understands the needs of a working-minded dog. Dundee has done well with other dogs and could thrive in a home with another compatible canine companion. He could also do fine as an only dog, as long as he receives consistent socialization, structure, and appropriate outlets for his energy and intelligence. An active home is a must for Dundee. He will do best with adopters who enjoy training, outdoor activities, and providing both physical exercise and mental enrichment. A home outside of the city (preferably rural or with plenty of space) will be ideal for him, as busy urban environments are not a good fit. Dundee is a devoted, capable dog who will be an incredible partner for the right person—someone ready to invest in training, structure, and an active lifestyle. With the right guidance, he has the potential to be an exceptionally loyal and rewarding companion. Dundee is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
