Animal Information: Brinnon is a 5.5-year-old Aussie/Border Collie mix being surrendered due to his owner’s personal health and mobility challenges. He’s a sweet, intelligent dog whose needs simply are not being fully met in his current home. True to his herding breed roots, Brinnon has created his own “job” when he hasn’t been given enough structure or outlet, which currently shows up as barking at strangers coming and going in the home. Despite this behavior, he is friendly and capable of doing well with confident handling. He currently works with a dog walker and has been successful on outings with experienced guidance. Brinnon is able to make friends with other dogs and has previously lived with cats. He is currently obese, so part of his rehabilitation and future training will focus on helping him safely reach a healthier weight through proper exercise and routine. Anyone with a soft spot for herding breeds will quickly fall in love with this sweet, deserving boy. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Ronney is a teddy bear he literally melts into hugs and cuddles. Never barks, very well-mannered and trained. He is extremely intelligent - taught himself how to open doors and picks up tricks fast. Low energy level just loves sitting outside and observing the world or cuddling up on the couch. A home with no kids or older kids would be ideal as he has never lived with kids before. Would be best in a single dog family or with another smaller calm dog. He gets a bit defensive / nipping with bigger or high energy dogs. He is extremely sensitive to loud noise i.e. (car backfiring, fire alarm, etc.) this can make him very anxious. He can get nippy around strangers when nervous. Fine in either apt or home. We adopted him from a shelter almost 9 years ago and have adored him. However, we are expecting our first child and are wary of how he will handle the transition and all the noise. He is the sweetest most well-behaved dog I've ever seen minus his anxiety. Will be 12 in November.

Cyrus is a 2yr old male, intact Mini Australian Shepherd. He is really an amazing dog. His recall is pretty good, he knows the basic commands (sit, stay, lay down), as well as high five. He is such a smart boy, he catches on really fast to anything you teach him. He hasn't been around a lot of other dogs, so he's a little unsure of them at first. He isn't neutered as well, so that makes him more territorial. He does well with people in small doses, a big crowd makes him nervous. He is purebred mini aussie, I do have his AKC papers. He is up to date on his shots as well. He is also crate trained and loves car rides. I haven't had him around kids very much besides just the few passing near a park, but he seems to do pretty well with them from those little interactions. He has the best, goofiest personality. He'll always keep you laughing, and he loves to cuddle. His new home should be with a family that's willing to provide him further training, and give him plenty of exercise.
