Here's what you need to know about me:I'm Bandit! Not only am I handsome, in my last home I was crate trained & house trained! I love to be with my people, anything from fetch and jogging to hikes and camping- I'm down! I've been doing well on my car rides!I'm an active dog! I would love to go home with a family who can help me burn off energy with exercise, playtime, and outdoor adventures.I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable. But once I get to know you, I'm very loving.I have some handling sensitivity. That means I have some preferences about how and where I get petted. My human friends at the shelter can tell you more!I need a home without cats. We just don't get along - even if they don't mind me, I can't be in the same home with them.I need a space of my own. I sometimes have a hard time sharing my treats, toys, or bed with other pets.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please speak to an adoption counselor. Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 75 Age: 1yrs 6mths 2wks

Story
Dargo was born on August 8th, 2025. He is a red tri mini Australian Shepherd, and of course has a lot of energy. He is potty trained (door bells), free eats (food in his bowl all day), and is crate trained (loves his crate). He still puppy bites a little, and is very playful, and his favorite toy is the Nerf Dog Tuff Tug 3-ring. His favorite treat is an antler chew, and he is a real cuddle bug. He currently eats Purina Pro Plan for puppy, sensitive stomach (salmon + rice). We don't think he has a chicken allergy, but our other dog has one, so we preferred to be safe. We are rehoming him because he doesn't really get along with our other Australian Shepherd, he spends the majority of his time trying to mount her, and he plays a bit rough with her, and she avoids him like the plague. We are also expecting baby #2 and soon won't have time to properly give him the attention he deserves.

Story
This is Nala will be 1 year old on April 29th. She is a sweet and sassy girl who loves attention and needs to stay busy. She loves kids, cats and dogs but sometimes barks and acts crazy when she first meets them. She needs more socializing in the outside world. She is needy. She will lick you to death her tongue moves a million times a minute lol. She sometimes acts like she's beat when we yell at her but she's definitely not beat she is just very girly and sassy. She will make an active family very happy.

Story
Axel is energetic and loving. We have been together since he was 8 weeks old. He has lived with various other dogs (big and small), a couple of cats (however he does like to chase the cats), and children (ages 0-13). He is house trained, leash trained, kennel trained, and he knows various commands including sit, stay, come, down, off, and spin. If there are no other animals in the area, he responds well off-leash as well. He is up-to-date on his shots. He loves going on runs, playing fetch, cuddling, and squeak toys. This decision has been very difficult for us as we love Axel and he is a great companion. Unfortunately, we have not been able to provide for him as well as we want to with starting a new family. We believed we could do well, but his quality of life has declined (less walks, less interaction) and he deserves better.

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to Portland for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is around 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs! Interested in becoming a forever home for Copper? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Copper. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Copper the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
