Story
Here's what you need to know about me:I'm Bandit! Not only am I handsome, in my last home I was crate trained & house trained! I love to be with my people, anything from fetch and jogging to hikes and camping- I'm down! I could use some help getting used to the car (I get a little carsick) but I'd be okay with neighborhood adventures too!I'm an active dog! I would love to go home with a family who can help me burn off energy with exercise, playtime, and outdoor adventures.I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable. But once I get to know you, I'm very loving.I have some handling sensitivity. That means I have some preferences about how and where I get petted. My human friends at the shelter can tell you more!I need a home without cats. We just don't get along - even if they don't mind me, I can't be in the same home with them.I need a space of my own. I sometimes have a hard time sharing my treats, toys, or bed with other pets. Ask an adoption counselor for more information.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please speak to an adoption counselor.I'm not on the general adoption floor. You might not see me when you come to visit. So please speak to an adoption counselor if you'd like to meet me. Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 75 Age: 1yrs 5mths 3wks

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to Portland for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is around 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs! Interested in becoming a forever home for Copper? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Copper. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Copper the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I'm super energetic! I can get extra excited during playtime because I'm just so happy, but after the fun, I enjoy relaxing with my people or a chew toy. If you're looking for a playful, enthusiastic companion, I'm your girl!I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little time to get comfortable. But with some treats and time we'll become best friends real fast! Once I get to know you I'm very loving.I have some handling sensitivity. That means I have some preferences about how and where I get petted. My human friends at the shelter can tell you more!I would love a family experienced with working breeds or willing to learn. I have some behaviors and preferences that are typical of dogs with a working temperament and would thrive with a family who understands those needs.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please speak to an adoption counselor.I'm not on the general adoption floor. You might not see me when you come to visit. So please speak to an adoption counselor if you'd like to meet me. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black Weight: 67.2 Age: 3yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
Cuteness overload!! Sailor is a 1 year old 55 lbs rescue came into our rescue when we were told about four dogs that were living with an unhoused man who allowed the dogs to roam freely in the streets while dodging traffic. Thankfully, we were able to get him to surrender all of the dogs to us. We got them straight to our vet where they were all fully vetted. He is now looking for his forever home. He wants to please and craves human companionship. He is just freaking awesome, can be goofy and playful, it’s just so rewarding to see a pup that had absolutely nothing and no future to see him play with toys and bones for the first time is priceless. What a fantastic dog and so loyal. Someone that is not gone long hours during the day, and a home with a safe and secure yard for him to play in. Active owners that will walk or run daily is exactly what he needs! He is such a wonderful dog and is good with everyone he meets! He deserves the best forever home out there and we won't stop till we find it! This one is like hitting the Jackpot. 🔥❤️😍💕He also loves playing with other dogs. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. 😍🔥😍🔥😍🔥😍

Story
Tucker is a 1 year old possible border collie mix. He is a bit bigger than a medium size dog, tall and lanky. I adopted Tucker about a week ago from a foster on Craigslist. Not much is known about his past but I was told he was surrendered from a family with health problems in Bend, OR. His Foster had him for a week, and had several small dogs and farm animals and he seemed to be doing fine. Him and I bonded immediately, he is a Velcro puppy who just wants to be with his person. I have a small dog in my house and two cats. He started to develop some jealousy whenever the other animals got attention, nipping and chasing them. He gets extremely reactive when he sees other people or dogs, and I physically don’t have the strength to hold him back. He is so smart and sweet, but I had to make the hard decision to let him go. He would do well in a home where he can be the center of attention, and work with someone 1:1 with either land or a large well fenced in backyard.
