Story
Lava came into our lives 2½ years ago after we found him wandering the streets alone — scared, hungry, and abandoned. After searching for his owners, we learned he had been intentionally left behind. At the time, he was still just a puppy, and we welcomed him into our family.Lava is now nearly 3 years old and has lived successfully with another dog, a cat, and a young child. He is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves to cuddle — convinced he’s a lap dog. He is gentle and loving, but also anxious and sensitive.Recently, my husband and I returned to working in the office full time after years at home. That transition has been difficult for Lava, and he has begun displaying stress-related behavioral issues, particularly accidents in the house. This is not an easy decision, but we believe Lava would thrive in a home where someone is around more often and can give him the time, attention, and reassurance he needs.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Wrangler If you're looking for a dog who's got both a brain and a sense of humor, let us introduce you to Wrangler! This goofball is a mystery mix - we're guessing part heeler, but we do know he’s full of charm.  Wrangler is a pro at playing with toys and loves a good walk, but his true talent lies in his ability to train humans. He's very particular when it comes to taking treats - don't even think about handing him one. The proper way is to toss it in the air and watch him catch it. It makes the treats more delicious Wrangler is so smart! On our organized volunteer walks, he’s got it all figured out. He'll stop dead in his tracks, make direct eye contact with the person who he knows is a good thrower, and just stare until they give in. (it doesn’t usually take long - he has our volunteers trained well) He also prefers to rock a harness for his walks, instead of a regular leash. If you’re ready to meet your match in wits and fun, Wrangler is the guy for you! He’s smart, picky, and full of love. Come meet this hilarious boy and see if you can pass his treat-tossing test!
