Story
From the land of Legendary Naps and Infinite Belly Rubs emerges a dog unlike any other—a colossal, soft-hearted hero whose greatest power is love… and whose greatest weakness is stairs. Though vast in strength, he is a warrior of rest. His paws have carried him boldly… from one end of the couch to the other. His journey is measured not in miles, but in naps taken, snacks enjoyed, and souls comforted by his presence. This majestic creature moves through life with the calm wisdom of an ancient sage (who maybe just woke up from a three-hour nap). His loyalty is unshakable, his trustworthiness unquestioned, and his affection boundless. He greets all people and all animals as though they are long-lost friends, returning from heroic quests to bring him snacks. He does not stand without purpose. He does not run without reason. He prefers instead to lounge nobly upon his fluffy throne, watching over his kingdom with sleepy eyes and an enormous, thumping tail. And now his tale seeks a new chapter: A home worthy of his gentle spirit. A hearth where he may lay his noble head. A family ready to receive the love of a dog whose heart is as vast as the myths that surround him. If your household seeks a gentle guardian--a titan of love, a bearer of cuddles, a champion of peace and naps--then prepare yourself. For he is ready to join your story… and take up his rightful place at your side. ##2570370##

Story
Meet Dolly —rescued from the brink of tragedy. Dolly is a loving and gentle English bulldog who, along with her 7-week-old puppies, narrowly escaped euthanasia at a high-kill shelter. This beautiful little family was abandoned and left with no hope, but now they’re getting a second chance at life, and we’re determined to find them the loving homes they so desperately deserve. -Update, her puppies were adopted! Dolly is a sweet mama who has been through so much, and it shows in her tired eyes and skin issues that likely resulted from months of neglect. Yet despite it all, her heart remains full of love. She adores attention and will melt into your arms with gratitude when given the chance to feel safe. She’s was a dedicated mother to her puppies, but now she deserves a chance to be cared for, to rest, and to experience the joy of being someone’s cherished pet. Dolly is great with people, and with the right care, she will blossom into the happy, healthy dog she’s meant to be. Help us rewrite their story with a happy ending—apply to adopt today.

Story
This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs.   Please contact Jordan at jordanfuent@gmail.com or 505-690-3371.   Do you want a dog that is 60% couch potato and 40% goofball? That's me! I am a beautiful, AKC registered Bull Terrier that loves relaxing, playing soccer by myself or with a human, only bark when I hear something suspicious, and love to play with cats. I don't like other dogs, and under no circumstances should I be around them...I'm top dog and want to be your only love. While I'm not good with small children (I don't like my tail, paws, nor ears touched) I love older kids that can understand my quirks. I like walks and don't pull, bark, or lung, as I just want to enjoy the scenery with you. My favorite things are my bed, balls, food, and car rides! I need a home that won't yell at me, as I am a sensitive fella and that will make me anxious and defensive. I do fantastic with positive training and am goofball that spins around and hops when you playfully spank my strong back legs. I "grumble" like a bear a lot to tell you how happy I am or that I need something, and I'm super strong, so no soft toys. As a Bull Terrier, I have seasonal allergies and yeast, but a little benadryl is what the vet says I need. Do not try to clean my ears, it makes me extremely nervous and defensive, but sending me to the groomers is okay as long as they know that. If you have a calm, gentle, positive household with experienced dog owners, I just may be your new love!  May 29, 2025, 9:28 pm

Story
&#226&#128&#139 Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Blooper finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our  adoption application  so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Blooper | 1-Year-Old Frenchie Mix | Professional Snuggle Bug Blooper is a sweet, gentle, low-energy boy who wants nothing more than a calm home, a cozy couch, and a human to lean his head on. At just 17 pounds, he’s the perfect little companion—quiet, affectionate, and happiest curled up under the covers with his people. He’s fully house trained, does well in his crate, and sleeps through the night without a peep. When left alone for a few hours, he settles in after a bit of initial whining and relaxes until his humans return. Blooper is still learning how to walk on a leash, and he finds solo outings a little intimidating. He does much better when following another dog’s lead, so continued patience and positive reinforcement will help his flourish. He has had positive experiences with both similar-sized and larger dogs, and he’s done great around cats. Children are an unknown so far, but Blooper’s gentle nature suggests he may acclimate with slow, respectful introductions. Food and affection are his biggest motivators, and he’ll happily work for cheese, pets, or a warm lap. He enjoys soft toys but will enthusiastically unstuff them, so a bit of supervision is best. With his calm demeanor and big heart, Blooper would thrive in a quiet home—perhaps with older adults or a low-key family—who are ready to offer him consistency, love, and plenty of couch time. He’s an easygoing little companion who will reward his people with endless warmth and loyalty.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $500. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
