Illinois applications are considered if the home is owned, no small children reside in the home and if there is an excellent vet check. Sweetie, also known as Sweet Girl, arrives in Wisconsin towards the middle of May. Sweetie is as sweet as her name implies. She is about six years old and weighs around 51 pounds. In her foster home, she lives with other dogs. She does not have experience living with cats or kids though. Sweetie has not always had the best life, but since being rescued she has gotten the vet care she needed to be a happy, healthy dog. Being a bulldog, priority will be given to adopters with specific bulldog experience. We know her photos in her profile are not great, but we are working on having her foster send more soon. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. I picked up Sherman aka Big Sherm from someone who was giving him away. He is 3 yrs old. The landlord gave them 1 day to re-home Shermy. I was afraid he would go to someone who might hurt him, so I took him in. Hes a good boy, but needs someone who can help in his training. He is too big & strong for me, Im 62 and cant walk him without being pulled. He likes to nap a lot. It took a few months but he played with my Chihuahua and he leaves my cats alone. He has played with my son's dogs. He would nip at my granddaughter socks and try taking them off. She avoids him, so Im not sure how he would do around children. He needs his vaccines, he is unaltered. He also has a fixable cherry eye. He likes to lay with his head in my my lap & snuggle. I would keep him but I dont have the finances or the strength to train him. He sits & stays on command. Adoption fee will be refunded to his new family after 3 months. He needs someone who is patient, kind, and who will love him dearly & forever.
