Adoption Donation: $450 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. I picked up Sherman aka Big Sherm from someone who was giving him away. He is 3 yrs old. The landlord gave them 1 day to re-home Shermy. I was afraid he would go to someone who might hurt him, so I took him in. Hes a good boy, but needs someone who can help in his training. He is too big & strong for me, Im 62 and cant walk him without being pulled. He likes to nap a lot. It took a few months but he played with my Chihuahua and he leaves my cats alone. He has played with my son's dogs. He would nip at my granddaughter socks and try taking them off. She avoids him, so Im not sure how he would do around children. He needs his vaccines, he is unaltered. He also has a fixable cherry eye. He likes to lay with his head in my my lap & snuggle. I would keep him but I dont have the finances or the strength to train him. He sits & stays on command. Adoption fee will be refunded to his new family after 3 months. He needs someone who is patient, kind, and who will love him dearly & forever.

This girl was found at an auto shop, hence her name. She is very friendly and playful. She is around other dogs her age and does well. She likes to be in charge so she would do best in a home with calmer, submissive dogs. She will need puppy training as we aren’t sure if she has had any. She likes toys and loves to show them off to people! She is good around kids but is excitable so will need to learn how to be around little ones. She is learning how to be on a leash and does okay in a kennel. She’s just an active girl who needs an active family to keep her busy. She is just looking for fun times and a family to share them with her. She is being fostered in TN but we do transport using the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.
