Story
Addie is the snortiest, snuffliest dog you could ever hope to find! She’s very friendly and up for adventures, although with her short snout, she shouldn’t overexert herself, especially when it’s hot outside. She is also quite content snoozing on the couch at home.    This girl is good with kids and would make a fantastic family pet. She will likely need to be the only animal in the home - Addie does not always get along with other dogs and has a high prey drive towards smaller animals.   Addie is house and crate trained. We can’t wait to see this good girl find her forever home!    Like all SAAP adoptables, Addie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and flea/heartworm prevention. The only thing she is missing is you! September 24, 2025, 5:10 pm

Story
Meet Sugarplum! Sugarplum is an affectionate and good-natured 5-year-old, 22 pound female French Bulldog. A former puppy mill mama, she is now enthusiastically adjusting to a life of comfort in her foster home. She loves to romp and explore around the house and is eagerly learning how to play with toys and receive yummy treats. She also thoroughly enjoys a good long nap on a warm lap, emitting the sweetest little snore. Sugarplum gets along with everyone she meets. While a tiny bit shy at first, she quickly warms up to new people. She also gets along well with both dogs and cats. Sugarplum is currently working on house training and leash training. She will benefit from a consistent routine to help her learn these skills. She has had positive results using puppy pads but isn’t 100% consistent yet. If Sugarplum sounds like the perfect little dog for you, apply today! Sugarplum is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Story
Meet Mortimor — Our Brave Little Survivor Age/Weight: 7 years, 35lbs Breed: French Bulldog Background: Puppy Mill Survivor Mortimor has spent most of his life in a puppy mill, but those dark days are finally behind him. Now, this sweet 7-year-old Frenchie is learning what it truly means to be loved and cared for. Despite his rough past, Mortimor is gentle, curious, and full of quiet charm. He’s discovering the simple joys of life — soft beds, tasty meals, and the comfort of kind hands. Mortimor enjoys calm spaces and spending time near his favorite humans. Because of his past, he can be shy at first, but with patience and love, he opens up beautifully and shows just how affectionate he can be. Mortimor can be a bit greedy with food and water because of his past. Mortimor would thrive in a peaceful home with people who understand that healing takes time. He’s looking for a forever family who will give him the safety, stability, and love he’s always deserved. Mortimor is crate trained and working on house training. Let’s help Mortimor start the next chapter of his life — one filled with comfort, kindness, and endless cuddles. Mortimor is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $300.00. Story
Meet Diesel!
Diesel is a 5-year-old, 24lb, Frenchie with a heart as big as his personality. This small guy is the perfect mix of goofy and sweet, guaranteed to keep you smiling with his endearing quirks. Diesel does great with kids and other dogs, making him an easy addition to a family or a home with canine friends. His energy level is wonderfully flexible — he’s happy to relax and cuddle, but also enjoys getting out for walks and daily activities. One of Diesel’s most charming traits? He absolutely loves to walk right in between your feet, staying as close as possible like your own little shadow. And while he’s mastered going up the stairs, he’s still working on the whole “coming back down” thing — a silly detail that just adds to his lovable nature. Diesel would thrive in a home looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a gentle spirit and a sense of humor. If you’re searching for a Frenchie who will stick close, love hard, and keep life lighthearted, Diesel might just be your perfect match. Diesel is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $450.00. Meet Bruiser! Bruiser is a 5-year-old, 34lb French Bulldog with a tender heart and a cautious nature. After years in a puppy mill, everything is new—from household sounds to learning how to be a family dog. He’s quiet, well-mannered, and still figuring out that humans can be trusted. Bruiser thrives in calm environments and will do best with adopters who understand that confidence takes time. He may not be immediately cuddly, but with patience and reassurance, he blossoms into a loyal, loving companion. Bruiser is not demanding or high-energy; he’s more of a quiet companion who enjoys soft beds, a steady routine, and kind voices. As he settles in, his affectionate side slowly begins to shine through. Bruiser is crate trained and working on house training. Bruiser has been around other dogs his size and plays well with them. Story
Hi! My name is Riley! My brother (Winston) and I were found running the streets of Universal City. We are approximately a year old. I am the little brother. We were both really scared. We have been with our foster mommy for about a week now. I am gradually coming out of my shell. I will come over to foster momma and want to be picked up and petted. Sometimes I make it a game and will play shy, but then give in and let her pick me up to relax in her lap. Other times I jump up in her lap and demand attention! If I do not get it, I will swat at her with my paw until she pays attention to me! I am still a puppy with lots of puppy energy. I love toys and playing with my brother. I also have foster brothers and sisters that are my size and bigger than me. I also like to explore the backyard. When I am done with playtime, I like to lay down on the couch next to momma or in my bed, wherever that may be. Momma placed my bed on top of the kennel while she was cleaning it and that did not stop me! I climbed on top of the kennel and took a power nap! I am kennel trained. I am working on potty training but I am a very fast learner. I should master it very quickly! Local adoption fee in Texas is $350 Out of state adoption fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $650.

Story
Looking for a little dog with a lot of heart? Meet Ian! This pint-sized black and white pup is living proof that a broken hip and medical needs do not mean a broken spirit! Ian's hip has healed but he is on daily meds for a medical condition, Diabetes insipidus. Despite it all, Ian is fun, boisterous, and full of playful energy that is absolutely contagious. Ian may be small, but he has a big love for life. He thrives on attention and is constantly looking for a game of seek with his toys or a good cuddle session. He plays well with other dogs, making him a great potential new sibling for your current furry friend. When it comes to his favorite things, toys rank high on the list, and food is right up there too; he's happily not picky about his meals... He eats from a slow feeder bowl to make sure he doesn't get too overzealous with his meals and is able to digest well. Ian is looking for a loving home where his joyful personality can shine and he can get the care and affection he deserves. Are you ready to give this resilient, playful boy a chance at a happy forever home? Basic Info: Male, 1 yr old Boston Terrier/Chihuahua Coat: Black and White UTD on shots and parasitic preventatives. Diabetes Insipidus: affects urine concentration, requires twice daily meds to maintain healthy urine and for bladder contraction to aid in fully emptying the bladder Local adoption fee (Texas) - $200 Out of state adoption (includes transport to your area) ‐ $450
