Story
MEET Chevy Chevy is a 1.5-year-old English Bulldog mix weighing in at a sturdy 45 pounds of pure love and personality. She came to rescue when her owner’s living situation changed and they were no longer able to provide the care she deserved. Now, Chevy is ready for a fresh start with a family who can give her the time, attention, and affection she thrives on. This playful girl is still very much a puppy at heart! Chevy knows some basic commands like sit and stay, and she’s eager to keep learning—especially when treats are involved. She loves playing with toys, enjoys a good game of fetch, and is always up for an adventure! Chevy is affectionate and people-oriented, happiest when she’s close to her humans soaking up hugs, cuddles, and love. She does well with other dogs and has recently met a cat; she’s still figuring out how she feels about feline friends. Due to her size and youthful energy, Chevy would do best with older, dog-savvy children who can comfortably handle her enthusiasm. If you’re searching for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Chevy may be your perfect match. She’s ready to give her whole heart to a family who will return it with plenty of love and happiness she deserves!  Chevy is:Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and RabiesDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedSpayedADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different. While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. ##2608880##

Story
What a happy boy! Shadow is estimated to be about 10 months old and weighs 42 pounds right now. Say hello to Shadow, the wiggly, affectionate lover boy who's sure to steal your heart! This adorable pup is a bundle of silliness and joy, always seeking attention and ready to show his love with his whole body. Belly rubs are about his favorite thing, so he is hoping his new family loves to give them! He also knows how to sit perfectly and is working on his leash manners. Shadow seems to enjoy roughhousing, so some limits will need to be set for him. He needs an adopter who understands bully breeds and can provide him with the guidance and leadership he needs to thrive. With his adorable looks and charming personality, Shadow is hoping to find his forever home where he can continue to grow, play, and spread his loving spirit! He will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old. He would love it if you came to meet him. If you are interested in Shadow and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Meet Alfie, a young, attentive boy with more of a serious nature who is in search of his forever family! This sweetie is so very connecting, what a lover. He leans in soft and loves a good belly rub, but don't be fooled by his cute side – he's also a rough-and-tumble kind of guy, so setting limits and providing leadership and boundaries will be key for him. Alfie is a smart boy who already knows the "sit" command and is eager to learn more.
