MEET BOLO! (Will NOT be attending the adoption event at Wag N' Wash on 12/14)
Bolo, a 2 year old, 53-pound Blue Merle English Bulldog, is looking for his forever home! This energetic and affectionate boy has a lot of love to give, but needs an experienced owner to guide him. Bolo previously lived outdoors and is now adjusting to indoor life. He's described as a "chunky low-rider" with boundless energy – think "bull in a china shop"! His exuberance and size make him unsuitable for homes with young children. While he enjoys meeting other dogs, his playful energy is best suited to larger, tolerant canine companions. Smaller dogs and cats are not recommended. Bolo needs a strong, active owner who can provide consistent training and keep up with his high energy levels. A securely fenced yard is essential for his safety and well-being; apartment or mobile home living wouldn't be a good fit. He's learning crate training and house manners, and while he's still figuring out toys, he shows promise. If you're an active person or family ready for a high-energy, loving companion, Bolo might be the perfect dog for you!
Bolo is a brachycephalic breed, meaning he has a short snout, so experience with this type of dog is very important as he is sensitive to extreme heat and cold. He is not a good fit for a first-time dog owner as Bulldogs are extremely stubborn. He’s also not a good fit for a tether system, as he thrives on interaction and companionship.
