Howdy! My name is Blu! I am a Handsome , 10 year old bulldog mix . I am fully vetted and potty trained. I am not only smart but active & I love to go for walks, explore! I have alot of energy for my age so you will get your steps in for sure! I LOVE LOVE to just snuggle & am always ready to watch movies or share dinner ! I will chase a ball & will entertain you with my witty personality! I walk well on a leash, knows "sit" "stay" "wait" "back" and "down" "leave it". I wait to go out of the house and come back in. He loves to watch the world go by out the window. He needs a 6' fence so he can zoom. I love humans & I dont mind older children (over 15 )who are respectful. I definetely need a home committed to giving me exercise! I loves hiking, walking, & I sleep very well when worn out at the end of the day! PS I don love to nap in the sun too! I sometimes have anxiety if I do not get the daily exercise so please know I will settle in with an active lifestyle.. I even have my very own trainer to help me acclimate to my new home!!!——— Text for a meeting with Blu! 440.773.1707

Story
Meet Miracle Whip. Born on April 12, she is the last of her litter looking for a home. Miracle Whip had a rocky start in life. Being much smaller than her siblings and having some major balance issues, she had to be removed from her litter and mom and was tube fed for several weeks before returning to them. It is unknown if she will have long term health effects but, as she takes after her bulldog heritage, her future home should expect typical bulldog health issues as she grows. Though for all purposes she does seem very healthy now, a prepared family who has done research would be ideal. They also should expect typical bulldog size as the expectation is for Miracle Whip to be in the 50 to 60 pound range as an adult. Miracle Whip is doing all normal puppy things: playing, running, potty training. She loves playing with toys, romping with other dogs, is very affectionate with humans, and would probably do well with introductions to cats due to being so young. Due to her being separated from her litter when she was younger, and then carefully monitored with them as she grew, she did miss out on some key socialization stages. For this reason, she comes with a training clause: her future family must pay a $200 deposit in addition to her adoption fee. That deposit will be returned after they successfully complete 3 sessions with a fear-frre, force-free trainer. The rescue can assist adopters with finding an appropriate trainer if needed. Overall, Miracle Whip is a happy girl with big opinions and a sassy streak that will keep her future family entertained. She requires another confident (male) dog in her future home to continue to help her learn appropriate behaviors, and needs a family committed to helping her develop into the best version of herself. If words like spirited, feisty, and headstrong describe the type of dog you're looking for, you have met your match in Miracle Whip. DOB: 04/12/26 Adoption Fee: $500 MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training and grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Rita. I'm about 1 1/2 years old and I weigh about 45 lbs. My brother Tito and I were found as strays in the Minerva area and we were taken to Angels for Animals, then transferred here to CCDP. We are both very sweet dogs. Someone has spent a little time working with us, but not nearly as consistent as they should have. It can take us a few minutes to warm up to new people, but after just a couple of minutes, I'll be your best friend! I get walked by children and lots of other people here at the pound and I love everyone I meet here. I have done well with other dogs and I love when I get playtime with my bestie Tito. I do a good job keeping my kennel clean and I appear to have been a house dog at some point, though we were likely kept outdoors before making our way into the pound. I would do great with a family that has just a little time and patience to work with me. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable.
