Ellie: •Bulldog/Pit Bull mix •1 year old •45lbs •Spayed female •Crate and potty trained •Good with other dogs Ellie is a sweet, spunky, active 1 year old Bulldog/Pit Bull mix who loves playing, going on adventures, and doing anything that involves moving around! She has boundless energy and can be a little firecracker of a dog sometimes! She only weighs about 45lbs and won't get any bigger, but she still packs a whole lot of spunk in her compact body. Ellie was turned in as a stray to our local high kill shelter with scrapes and missing fur all over. We don't know what happened to her to cause this, but there is no telling as the streets of Houston are unforgiving, to say the least. Being the energetic puppy she is, she landed on the euthanasia list for exhibiting normal puppy energy, which is always brought out more from being cooped up in a small kennel for hours on end. We saw her potential and just had to rescue her. Ellie is the sweetest girl but she is not for the faint of heart! Ellie has lots of unfiltered puppy spunk and will need some training and guidance in order to become an upstanding member of society (especially in public spaces, as most puppies and adolescent dogs struggle with this!). Due to her incredible amount of energy and lack of training in her early puppyhood, Ellie does need some work on how to walk on a leash without turning a "walk" into more of a "drag." She has your typical Bulldog stubbornness but can be tempted to listen with the prospect of treats! Ellie loves hanging out and bonding with her people, and she is a great cuddle buddy once she's in the mood for it! She is a very affectionate girl and is always happy to receive any attention that comes her way! Ellie does get along with other dogs, but she seems to do best with dogs who match her level of spunk and have a similar personality to her. Introductions to other dogs are best done slowly with her, as she is still learning about boundaries and manners with other dogs. She would love to be the only dog in her new home so she can hog all the attention, but she wouldn't mind having a canine companion around either! Ellie is located in Houston TX but can be transported to most US states for adoption.

Gidget is a 35 lb, squishy American Bully. Gidget has allergies and has been through extensive testing. She currently needs allergy medication and will need to continue them throughout her life. She is good with other dogs and enjoys running with kids. Dogs prefer her when they match her energy. She is not a couch potato, has plenty of energy, but will settle down and cuddle while watching TV with you. She LOVES squeaky toys, tennis balls, and treat puzzles. She loves nothing more than hanging out with her humans but does well in a kennel or alone in the house while gone. She couldn't care less about thunderstorms or fireworks. Meet Butkus....yep he is definitely not a shar pei. Call it a moment of weakness but seriously how could we let this guy get euthanized over some pretty breed specific medical issues which happen to be right up our alley in the shar pei world. Butkus might be the happiest boy ever. He loves everyone. His tail never stops wagging or what whatever you call that little nub. Thank God he is cute and sweet because this guy is not the brightest bulb on the tree. So if you are the person who likes your dogs good looking and sweet and not concerned if they never figure out how to sit this is your guy! He loves car rides but so far is not a fan of walking but we are convinced with the help of Bertha he will realize how much he loves it. He is a good sized boy at 58lbs. He was seen by our vet yesterday and like Bertha did have decreased tear production in both eyes. He will need his cherry eyes addressed at time of surgery. Are you wondering what a shar pei rescue is doing with a pair of bulldogs...well so are we! It was a complete moment of weakness. Meet Bertha. This girl is as wide as she is tall but she has started her intermittent fasting, youtube ab videos and twice a day walks. This girl loves to walk so we are excited to see her waist line start to become visible This girl is great with people and other dogs. She did come in with her man Butkus but they do not need to be adopted together but we would love to see her go to a home with another dog. They had their first vet visit and honestly all their medical issues are pretty much identical to the medical problems we see with Shar Pei. Her tear production was reduced so we are going to assume she will need lifetime eye drops to replace that decreased tear production. Her skin was in great shape but did have an ear infection so an adopter that is familiar with weekly ear maintenance. She loves car rides and walks great on a leash.
