Hello, my name is Dotty. I had kind of a rough start in life. Living outside not getting the medical or social attention I need. Due to that sometimes I aggressively seek for attention. My love language is Quality Time and Physical Touch. I can't help it. Now that I get it from my foster mama, I can't get enough. I'm looking for a family that wants to spoil me. Someone who will allow me to sleep inside and spending lots of time with me. I can be playful and I can also be lazy. I am in a home with other dogs, but I would love to be the only dog spoiled and 100% of your attention. I am a "girl power" type of dog and draw my comfort towards females. I will need an assertive human to keep my stubbornness and sass to a bare minimum. I have environmental allergies so my vet says the perfect home would be away from the Houston humid weather. Elphie is a female English Bulldog looking for her loving forever home. Elphie came to the rescue in March from a gulf coast area animal shelter, after being found as a stray and never reclaimed. She is a sweet but shy girl, with some behaviors indicative of past-abuse (i.e., cowers to loud noises). She is currently being fostered in a home with dogs and children and is doing well. While she is not currently being fostered with cats, we imagine she is probably ok with cats (and would be willing to cat-test if necessary). Elphie is heartworm positive, but the treatment is covered by the rescue and is noncommunicable to other animals or people - so please don't let that deter you from adopting! Sabrina was found tied to a sign in front of the Four Corners Rec Center in Sugar Land, and she’s ready to leave her past behind for a bright new future. Despite her sad start, she’s super sweet and loves being pampered with gentle pets and tasty treats, which she takes gently from your hand. Sabrina is a happy and playful girl who loves toys—especially playing fetch. Her Sharpei face gives her a unique look when she holds a ball in her mouth, and it may even make her look like she’s hiding a secret, but it’s just her adorable floppy face! Her energy is just the right balance: enough for relaxed cuddle time, but with plenty of spark to keep you entertained during play sessions. She`s is a quick learner, and though she might not know many tricks yet, she impressed us by sitting on her own when we went put a leash on her when it was time to leave the play yard. She walks well on that leash. Sabrina is a happy-go-lucky, easygoing type of girl.
