Story
Freya is almost 3 years old, we have had her since she was a puppy. Between full time work, two young rambunctious boys, everything else, and caring for a dog, many days are nothing short of overwhelming. Freya is loveable, patient, protective, playful, and very friendly with people- especially kids. She successfully graduated puppy training school, walks well on a leash, is crate trained, rings bells when she needs to go out to the bathroom, and is house broken- see isn’t she lovely! She responds to her name, can sit, stay, lay down, jump up, rolls over, and gives paw. ✅ We think she would do best with a family who has older kids (10+) and perhaps not with elderly folks (she has been surrounded by kids aged 2 and up her entire life). Like her name suggests, Freya is the Goddess of Love and War, she is really sweet and strong but could knock someone down accidentally while playing. ✅ Bonus if you have a home with a fenced in backyard. This would make life 1000x easier.

Story
We got him from a breeder. He is actually a Pocket American Bully and around 40lbs. He is very food motivated ad will listen to many commands if food is involved. He is very sweet and likes to run around and play every chance he gets. He likes meeting new people, usually doesn’t bark at unknown people unless they approach without consent. He likes kids and gets excited around them. When he gets excited though he doesn’t always pay attention to his surroundings, so he might fall or jump on people but has gotten better in not behaving in such a way. He is Crate trained and can stay up to 4-5 hours in there but I usually let him out sooner. I would prefer for the owner to be experienced because he can be a little hard headed sometimes. That being said he is very smart and understands almost everything that is being said to him.I really want him to find a good home because he is very loving and deserves a home in which he can have a routine. I can’t do that anymore because I work a lot.

MEET CALVIN!Calvin is an absolute hoot! This sweet, bounding boy loves to run around with both people and other dogs. His joy and enthusiasm are infectious! In his free time, he enjoys running around with toys in his mouth, going on walks and gives slobbery kisses. He would prefer a home without small animals, as he may mistake them for toys! He can also be a bit strong, so he prefers a home with adults and possibly dog-savvy older children. Could you be the right home for this good boy? Calvin is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team.For more information on Calvin or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170.
