Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Older children only (16+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesIf you’re looking for the ultimate companion, Jaxtyn checks all of the boxes: he’s extremely smart, attentive, dedicated, and eager to make his humans happy. (Plus, he’s extra, extra handsome if we do so say so ourselves!)Jaxtyn absolutely loves affection and thrives on the connection he makes with his humans. While he does prefer a slower introduction when meeting new people, he quickly becomes comfortable and loves to show off his impressive manners. Jax gets along well with other dogs, and while he’d enjoy a dog sibling to nap and play with, he’d be just as happy as an only dog where he can be the center of attention.Jaxtyn has been working diligently on his training with his foster dad and has an impressive skillset that includes focus and release commands, expert-level leash-walking skills, and all of his basic commands like ‘sit’, ‘down’, and ‘wait’. Jaxtyn is fully house and crate-trained and thrives with structure and routine. Jaxtyn is currently working to gain more confidence on walks around things like bikes, scooters, or busy sidewalks and he’s making stellar progress. Jaxtyn would do great in a home in the city as he’s shown he can be comfortable in an urban setting or would love a more low-key house in the suburbs with a yard to romp and roam in. Bonus - he’s great in the car so he’d be thrilled to be your adventure buddy! Jaxtyn is an amazing boy who’s ready to find - and unconditionally love - his family! December 7, 2023, 10:19 am

Story
Meet Blitz! Blitz is a 4-year-old, 55 pound working dog. He's smart, food driven, and loves playing fetch. He sleeps through the night in his crate, is house trained, loves learning new tricks, and can be good with other dogs if they allow him to calmly greet them. Blitz would do best in an adult only home, with an owner who is active. He loves going on walks, runs, hikes and car rides. He can be untrusting of new people, and will need someone to continue to train him on confidence building. Blitz will walk in a heel when requested, he is a quick learner, super food motivated, and will LOVE his owners fiercely. If you are interested in finding out more about Blitz, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://bit.ly/2JnZqK5 Blitz is being fostered in Worcester. The adoption fee is $250. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Hi, I'm Jessica, an 11-week-old Boxer/Lab mix. I'm about 10 pounds right now so will probably be a medium-large-sized dog when I grow up. My foster says I can be a little shy when I first meet people but quickly become sociable and now love to hang out with her entire family! I'm energetic and curious, and I love to play with toys and run around outside. I am doing well with housetraining, too! Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

Jerry and siblings are 10 weeks old and seem to be a mix of many breeds, but could possibly be Boxer and possibly some Bully, we're just not sure. They only weighs 10 lbs. now but should get to be medium/large sized or so. They each need a stay-at-home or work-from-home adopter so they can grow up well socialized and trained. They are sweet and playful puppies. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

Georgette keeps her humans giggling – she loves to play and will proudly parade with her toys around the house to get your attention. She loves to chase a tennis ball or play tug of war all day. She redirects easily and really just wants to play all the time.Georgette can be a bit excited and jumpy at first, and she wants to be best friends with every person she meets! This girl enjoys the company of other dogs and would do well with proper introductions so that she does not get overly excited. She also would likely do well in a home with a dog-savvy cat. Given her size and energy level, Georgette would fit best in a home with older children.Georgette quickly gets the hang of family life and settles into a home and a routine really well. Georgette is both crate and house-trained and her leash skills are coming along great – she’ll need her new humans to keep up this training with her. Georgette is quick to learn, and does best with a patient, consistent approach.Georgette is the pawfect fit for a family looking for a dog who will always be up for fun and who will love her unconditionally! Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. She needs slow intros to other dogs to make sure everyone’s on the same page.Bounce has not been around kids and she is timid around new people in general, but then warms up.  She absolutely loves to get all of the attention that she can from her people and would love to be the only dog in the home.Once she’s gotten her zoomies out, Bounce is very snuggly and lives for food and treats! **MEET ME AT OUR 12/9 ADOPTION EVENT IN EVERETT!**Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: NoGood with kids: UnknownCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesHammer is a moderately active boy, who enjoys running outside and playing with toys or doggy pals - followed by a long nap on the couch! While he would love a home with a doggy sibling to play with, he'd also do well as an only dog as he is very affectionate and loves to be near his humans for snuggles. Hammer loves to go on walks around the neighborhood, but is still working on his leash manners. He is crate and house trained and does best on a consistent schedule. He has spent a lot of time around dog savvy teens and does great with them! Hammer does not enjoy the company of feline friends, so he should be in cat -free home. Hammer is the perfect mix of sweet and silly and can't wait to find a family to shower with love. Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website.
