Bruno is a 8 month old Boxer mix full of joy! He’s so happy and nice! He’s not met a dog he hasn’t liked. He makes such a good friend! Bruno is in obedience training and is learning all the basics. He’s very smart and eager to learn. He’s fun to work with as he loves to please you. Bruno loves people, and is very friendly. He's like the perfect dog! He is crate trained and walks perfectly on leash. Bruno is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. He weighs about 45/50 pounds. He’s skinny but tall. Smudge was found on 12/24/2025 at W 12th Alley & Washington St. He came into the shelter not yet neutered.If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time.The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information!Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. We picked him up on the 4th of July 2-1/2 years ago running down the street, clearly scared of the fireworks. He immediately jumped into the car when we opened the door for him. We took him to the shelter the next day but he refused to get out of the car. He had no chip or tags. They posted him on their web site for 90 days. He was posted on social media and asked around elsewhere but no one claimed him. When we first got him he couldn't walk without falling and wasn't house trained. He had a bad smelling skin condition. When we took him to the vet they said he had clearly had been kenneled for too long which was why he had a hard time walking. It looked like he was abused and neglected. Vet said he was about 1 year old at that time. I put "unknown" if he gets along with other dogs because he gets along with some but not others. I think he may have a dog version of PTSD. I don't have a yard and think he would do better someplace with a lot of room to run freely.
