Story
Dankster (Danky, Baby Dank, Danky Doodle) originally adopted from Rocket Dog Rescue in San Francisco, CA and brought to Oregon when he was about a year old is 6.5 yrs old, sweet, smart, smiley, loving, playful, goofy, medium energy, and thinks he’s a lap dog. Gives sweet kisses and nose boops. Very food motivated; loves to show off all the commands he knows. Mix of independent and a barnacle. He has a high prey drive, so no other types of animals, nor dogs with bully/alpha personalities. He’s a hit/miss on kids of all ages, so best to not be in a home with kids (also a less stressful transition). Reactive on leash and at barriers (fence, house, car); he has been improving. Walks well on leash when not triggered. About 10 lbs overweight (under-exercised, not overfed) and would benefit from regular walks (with someone who has the strength for his pulling or lunging when triggered); it’s challenging to get him to engage in exercise thru play long enough to make a difference.

Story
Available in TX only! Granger, a 54-pound young adult rescue dog, embodies a unique blend of traits that make him an endearing companion. Initially cautious around strangers, he blossoms into a loyal and affectionate friend once he establishes trust. His wide-set, beautiful eyes are a distinctive feature, complemented by charmingly bow-legged stature reminiscent of a bulldog. Granger thrives in the company of other dogs, eagerly seeking opportunities to snuggle and play with his furry pals. His social nature extends to adoring kids, showcasing gentle and amiable behavior around them. A testament to his adaptability, Granger is both kennel and potty trained, demonstrating discipline and understanding of boundaries. While initially uneasy with car rides, he is gradually becoming more comfortable, displaying resilience and openness to new experiences. Granger came into rescue with frequent upper respiratory infections. Extensive medical testing was done and it was discovered that he has a fungus that infiltrated his lungs and cervical spine. He underwent a vaccine regimen to stop the progression of the fungus. He will require that vaccine annually. Despite his medical condition, he continues to thrive and love life! His gradual acclimatization to car rides mirrors his overall willingness to embrace change and learn. Granger's journey from a hesitant newcomer to a beloved companion reflects his resilient spirit and willingness to form deep connections. In essence, Granger is an amiable, adaptable, and affectionate dog whose gradual warmth towards strangers underscores his loyalty and trustworthiness once he embraces friendship. His love for canine and human companionship, along with his charming features and gentle demeanor, make him a cherished addition to any loving home. Story
Meet Ozzy — your future best friend with a heart as big as his beautiful blue coat! Ozzy is an incredibly handsome blue American Bully who turns heads wherever he goes, but it’s his sweet, affectionate nature that truly makes him shine. This lovable boy is all about the snuggles and will happily curl up next to you for some serious cuddle time. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be close to his people and soak up all the love he can get. Ozzy is currently being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX, where he's thriving with routine, affection, and structure. He absolutely lives for car rides—he loads up like a dream and settles in quickly, making him an ideal road trip companion. Whether it’s a drive to the park or a cross-country adventure, Ozzy is ready to ride shotgun with his favorite humans. Ozzy also has a playful, goofy side—he loves water and can’t get enough of playing in the hose! If you’ve got a yard and a sprinkler or hose, you’ve already won his heart. Watching him splash around is pure joy. While Ozzy is a sweetheart through and through, he’s still working on his leash manners. He gets excited when he sees something interesting and tends to pull, so some basic leash training will help him thrive. Ozzy is available for adoption in Texas, but he can also be transported to the Northeast or Pacific Northwest for the right home. Don’t miss out on this water-loving adventure buddy! Story
Zoey 6 years, spayed female, 60 lbs Pit Bull Zoey is a sweet, goofy, soulful, food loving middle-aged gal who just wants to hang out and be loved. She 's a wonderful companion and she has stolen her foster-pawrent 's heart. She is a bit goofy and makes her foster laugh frequently with her antics. POTTY TRAINING: Zoey is fully potty trained with access to the backyard through a doggie door at her foster home. CRATE TRAINING: Zoey will go into her kennel if you ask her to however she would prefer not to. Her foster says she has earned her trust to be out and about at home without causing any issues. She mostly naps while she waits for the humans to return. LIKES: Zoey loves food and treats of all kinds (she does need to use a slow feeder bowl when eating her meals because she loves her food maybe a little too much!). She likes to have bones and other hard chews and one favorite squeaker toy that she will get pretty excited about and carries that around the house. Zoey also Loves to go for walks - a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood is perfectly acceptable in her book. But beware of her strength if there 's something she really wants to check out. She prefers a harness that can be put on without going over her head (her foster will share the type she uses with any potential adopter). Zoey loves to go for car rides and is an excellent passenger, and she enjoys being able to stick her nose out the window. Mostly, Zoey loves being near her people. She 'll follow you around the house and lounge/take a nap while you 're doing something. When she 's really ready to sleep, she 'll go curl up in bed and make a nest among the soft pillows. She loves to be loved on and give kisses. OTHER/MISC: She gets along with other dogs with proper introductions. Typical bully breed fashion, she is very vocal (rumbly, grumbly, growly sounds) when she plays. Per her previous owner she does have a history of being attacked at a dog park so if a dog does come on a little too strong or tries to bully her, she will defend herself. With proper introductions, she gets along fine with other dogs. She snuffles and snarfs and snorts around the house and when she gets excited or it 's feeding time, she grunts even more. When she 's sleeping, she snores enough to rival that of a full grown man. She has sensitive skin and seems to do best on a sensitive skin diet with no chicken.
