Story
Meet Denali! A sweet girl with love to share! Born in 2016, sweet natured and goofy Denali gets along well with dogs and people (adults and children); she went on a weekend trip with her fosters and did really well being in a new place and around new people. Denali will happily join you for an outdoor adventure, occasionally trotting up to you for pets and ear rubs, but is just as comfortable being on her own and can amuse herself if you are occupied. Denali, true to her nature inspired name, delights in spending time outdoors and enjoys sniffing and exploring. She acts like she is part bloodhound and part detective, quickly finding the scent if a new animal has visited the yard. Denali also loves to romp around with the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys running and playing chase with them. She bounds around the yard, stopping to encourage the resident dogs to join in her antics. Before being rescued and settling into her foster home, Denali and her pups were stuck in a rural shelter in Texas. While the puppies quickly found new homes, sweet, endearing Denali was adopted by an older couple. Unfortunately, when a death and severe medical issues left her adopter unable to care for Denali, she was returned. At this point she was seriously overweight and suffering from bladder stones, which were successfully removed in July. Her foster has since been working diligently on her diet, which resulted in Denali losing 30 pounds!   Denali’s ideal home? Denali is looking for someone to love and to love her in return, who will support her on her weight loss journey! Her ideal weight is around 45 pounds, so she just has another 10-15 pounds to go. She will need to remain on prescription food for the rest of her life to prevent more bladder stones, and she may be prone to urinary tract infections, so an adopter will need to be watchful for these. Denali would love a walking partner and snuggle buddy and loving companion.  Are you ready to reach new heights with Denali? “Fur-st Impressions” are very important! Schedule a meet and greet with Denali before applying to see if she is the perfect fit for your family by emailing us at Fur-stImpressions@pathofhoperescue.com.  A completed Adoption Application will be required after the meet and greet to move forward with Denali’s adoption. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##1418370##

Story
Meet Jasper!    Sweet, gentle Jasper is a very shy girl, and it can often take her some time to warm up to new people. However, once you win over her heart, you will have gained a permanent shadow. In addition to going where you may go, Jasper is also a huge fan of cuddles on the couch, and is always ready to snuggle up next to you when it’s time for bed. When she’s not right next to her favorite person, Jasper also enjoys spending time outside, taking in the smells, and scoping out the neighborhood. While she may be gentle, this girl still knows how to have fun, and really loves to let loose and have fun when around other dogs similar to or smaller than her size. Outside of considerably larger dogs, Jasper is also not a fan of sudden, loud noises, and has a life-long vendetta against vacuums. (Who doesn’t though, you know?)    Great with: Other dogs, and kids of all ages!BONUS: Jasper is fully potty, and crate trained, and will happily sleep through the night, right by your side!   Ideal Home: Jasper would do well in a home of a loving individual, or a family whose kids will understand that she’s a lady and needs a more gentle touch than other dogs might. And while a canine companion isn’t required, she certainly wouldn’t mind if she had a mid-size to smaller buddy to hang out with!   So, if you’re looking for a shy, but friendly, lovable, and smart companion, Jasper is the girl for you!   “Fur-st Impressions” are very important! Story
Meet Bella – Waiting Over 5 Years for Her Forever Family Sweet Bella has been with Spring Branch Rescue for over 5 years, hoping for a family to finally see her!  As a puppy, Bella was kept in a crate for long hours. All she wanted was to play with the kids in her home, but instead she spent her days confined. Despite her rough start, she’s still full of love, joy, and personality. Bella is playful, affectionate, and loves being part of the conversation (yes, she’s a little vocal!). She’s crate-trained, loves her playtime, and thrives when she’s included in family life. She’s on a special salmon or beef-based diet for mild skin allergies — no poultry for this girl.  Bella deserves a home where she can be free to love, play, and belong. She’s waited long enough — could you be the one she’s been dreaming of? Not in Texas? No problem! We offer transport to the Pacific NW and East Coast. Bella is ready to be part of your family — forever. ##2149754##
