Rescue FAQs

About ALR American Lab Rescue Inc. is an all-breed rescue group specializing in Labrador and Labrador mixes. We are an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization. Everyone associated with ALR is devoted to helping homeless dogs from puppy to senior age find their loving forever homes. We are a small organization and we operate this rescue in our free time aside from full-time jobs and our families. Our Goal Our goal is to find homes for the dogs in our care. Our main concentration is on saving as many dogs as we can from local pounds and shelters and rescue dogs from the south. Overcrowded conditions forces early euthanasia for many young dogs and puppies in the south. We serve New England States

Additional adoption info

All our animals are brought up to date on shots, spayed or neutered prior to adoption. All adoptions require a completed adoption application, home inspection and a veterinarian check. The adoption fee of $550.00 covers all transportation expenses, shots, deworming, and spaying or neutering fees. Massachusetts residents are responsible for state quarantine fee, if dog si fostered locally a health certificate fee will apply and if a dog is microchipped there is an additional $40 fee. We have a return policy so that any dog adopted through our organization will be returned directly to American Lab Rescue and not end up in a shelter again.
