High Sierra Lifeline k9 Rescue's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

If you see a pet you’re interested in or you don’t but you would like to adopt from our organization anyway, please fill out an application!

2. Meet the Pet

We set up meet and greets in public locations only. We are foster- based currently, and do not give out foster’s home addresses.

3. Home Check

If the rescue and adopters feel it’s a good fit, we set up the home check!

4. Sign Adoption Contract

If the home check is good and everyone is still confident it’s a good match, adopter signs the contract and pays the fee!

5. Take the Pet Home

As long as the dog is already spayed/neutered/vaccinated, it stays with you the same day as the home check, contract and fees!

We pride ourselves in the support we provide our fosters and adopters, if there’s ever any questions, PLEASE call us!

About High Sierra Lifeline k9 Rescue

We are long-time animal lovers working hard to reduce the number of euthanized dogs in shelters. Our ultimate goal is to house and employ veterans, teach them how to prepare a dog for adoption and should they wish, reach them to run a successful rescue so they may take our model and open one anywhere there’s a need of Veterans and K9’s alike!
