Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Howdy! I'm Pepper!
I am ready for my furever home!
I am the first born of twelve and I came prepared to lead the charge! I have lots of personality and energy and I love to play. I love running and chasing and play like it's my job. My foster mom says that my ability to focus on a goal and play hard is probably going to make me a great training and adventure partner. Honestly, that sounds pretty great to me.
I am functionally potty trained, but would need to be introduced to the routine in my furever home. I am learning to walk on a leash and I can sit on command. Once I am focused on a task I am so good at it. I really want a person who likes to give me things to do and think about.
Don't get me wrong, I'm more than just a focused, energetic boy. I have to admit that I am just a little snuggle bug underneath it all. As first born I can't let too many people know that, but I really love when my foster mom loves on me, especially after I've played for a while. I learned that humans like to give me smooches on my cheeks and it's so much better than when my litter mates bite them. I secretly love people kisses and snuggles!
Like a couple of my siblings I really like climbing onto boxes or chairs in my enclosure. I would love to learn how to climb rocks and jump onto stumps. Those are the kinds of jobs I love! I also really love splashing in water!
I am confident when meeting other dogs but not impolite. I would probably like to have a pack mate, but if my human wanted all my focus and gave me lots of jobs I think that would be great too.
I almost forgot... I really love kids! Like my brother Elden, I was confident enough to enjoy my experience meeting kids, but I was polite enough not to play too rough. I would be a good dog in an active household with kids.
Anyway, let me know if I'm the man for the job!

If you are interested in one of our animals, please fill out an adoption application, located on our web site here: http://tubacityhumanesociety.org/adoptions/ . There is more information about our adoption process, including our adoption fees, on that page. In general, fill out an adoption application, and then photo or scan it to our email at tubacityhumane@gmail.com, and that enables us to start a conversation with you. From there, the foster would usually set up a meet and greet with the animal you are interested in. We like all family members to meet the animal, and any other pets as well. We do require a home check. Adoption fees do not cover our veterinary cost, but do help us to continue our work. All animals are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Most animals are also microchipped.

Go meet their pets
Arrangements can usually be made to meet most of our adoptable animals in Flagstaff. The process starts by filling out an application and returning it to to us through email. Some animals are fostered in Tuba City or other locations. We do attend some adoption events in Flagstaff.
