How this pet arrived:
Chuckie was brought in by a community member on December 5, 2025.
Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Chuckie! Chuckie is a curious cat who loves to explore his surroundings and is looking for a home where he can continue being an indoor/outdoor cat, as he can become quite feisty when he's not allowed to roam. He's an independent spirit who needs a home without kids and might thrive best as the only feline, where he doesn't have to share his space with others. Although he enjoys attention and will seek it out, he can become overstimulated during petting sessions, so it is important to remember the "pet, pet, pause" rule by petting him a couple of times and then pausing to gauge his reaction. Watch his body language for signs of overstimulation, such as a twitching tail, flattened ears, rippling skin, or a sudden stiffening of his body; if you notice these signs, it's best to give him some space and let him initiate further contact when he's ready. With a patient and understanding adopter who respects his boundaries and need for exploration, Chuckie will undoubtedly blossom into a fun and engaging companion - just don't forget to bring a hard-sided cat carrier for a safe ride home!
At SDHS:
Chuckie has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!
Overstimulated Cat:Chuckie requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him.
