Cyprus is a cream and tortoiseshell Persian female who is approximately 10 years old.
Meet Cyprus! Cyprus is truly the most perfect little lady. She is gentle, sweet, and incredibly affectionate. She is the kind of cat who is simply looking for a home that will shower her with love and let her give that love right back. She has a soft, calm presence and bonds deeply with her people, thriving in a home where she can be adored and loved. While she has a very relaxed and affectionate nature, Cyprus does have a playful side too. She absolutely loves her little toy mice, and her favourite game is proudly carrying them over and “drowning” them in her water bowl. It’s a daily ritual that never seems to get old for her and is endlessly endearing to watch.
As a Persian, Cyprus is considered brachycephalic. This means she may be more prone to ocular and nasal discharge and will require consistent facial care to keep her comfortable. Daily gentle cleaning of her face and around her eyes will be an important part of her lifelong routine. We encourage adopters to speak with their veterinarian about breed-specific recommendations and ongoing care to ensure Cyprus stays healthy and comfortable.
Cyprus also underwent an extensive dental surgery while in our care and has had all of her teeth removed to ensure she is pain free and comfortable. She has recovered beautifully and is doing very well. Going forward, she would prefer her kibble to be soaked or softened so her gums do not have to crunch down on dry food. This small adjustment helps keep her mealtimes comfortable and enjoyable.
Cyprus would do best in a loving, attentive home that understands her facial care and dietary needs and is happy to make them part of their daily routine. In return, she offers unwavering affection, sweetness, and the quiet companionship of a truly special girl.
Cyprus would likely do well with another cat or dog friend, with a proper and slow introduction.
Cyprus is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies. She is FIV and FeLV negative and on parasite preventions. Her adoption fee is $300. To apply, please submit an adoption application.

Most of our cats live in foster homes. Some are available to meet at satellite locations such as Pet Valu and Ren's Depot. A few foster homes are available to meet and greets at their home, or we also do meet and greets at request at our shelter prior to adoption. Most of these results in same day adoptions, and only take place after an adoption interview.
