Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi… I’m Ferb.
And if you know anything about Ferb, you probably know I’m more of the quiet type.
I’m a little guy who’s still figuring out this whole “people are actually really nice” thing. I’m super shy, so I might not run right up to you at first. I tend to hang back, watch what’s going on, and make sure everything seems safe before I join the party.
But here’s my secret: I’m learning that attention is actually pretty great.
Every day I get a little braver. Pets are starting to feel really nice, and sometimes I even lean into them once I realize nothing scary is happening. It’s all still new to me, but I’m working on it.
I just need a patient human who understands that some of us take the slow and steady route to becoming cuddle bugs. Give me a little time, a calm home, and lots of gentle love, and you’ll get to watch my confidence grow.
It might take me a bit to say hello… but once I do, I promise it’ll be worth the wait.
— Ferb 🐾An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $200.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice. Cats and kittens are minimum donation $50.00
