Story
Eloise is a five-year-old wadi dog (a village dog) from Oman. We adopted her a few years ago but have not been able to give her the home she needs. She is incredibly smart, independent, loyal, and curious, and we think she would truly thrive in a home with some land and at least one other dog. As a village dog, she is domesticated but still has that independent nature where she craves freedom and exploration and lots and lots of exercise. She can be nervous around strangers and reactive toward big trucks, outdoor cats, and some people due to her history on the street. However, she is very loving, affectionate, and loyal once she gets to know you. She has taken multiple obedience classes and knows basic commands. She is also house trained and is super clean. Eloise is a very cat-like dog: she is self-reliant and wants attention on her own terms. But she is a wonderful companion and would add a lot of love and liveliness to the right home!
