He's of smallish size and loves attention and to be close. Barkley is crate trained, and, in fact, supposedly spent much of his puppyhood in a crate, which might account for his initial hesitance on encountering new dogs, people and situations. He is loving his newfound freedom in his foster home. Barkley is not housebroken yet, so he will require a home willing to train him and that will allow him lots of freedom and gentle exposure to new things. Barkley seems to derive confidence from the presence of another dog, so a home with a confident doggie buddy is preferred. She and her brother, Dusty, have been together their whole lives and are quite bonded with each other. They are affectionate, friendly, mildly active and gets along with other dogs. So far, Tulip seems like a very easy-going dog. It took her a little longer than it took Dusty to adjust to the move from her original home, but she has settled in. Tulip has some arthritis for which she takes medication.
