Story
This cute little Beagle girl (Margaret) was brought to the HSOV late in the afternoon on July 9, 2024 after she was picked up on Shay Ridge Road in the New Matamoras Ohio area by the Washington County Dog Warden. Margaret was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. We believe that she is approximately 8-years old. Margaret has tricolor short smooth coat with red/brown ticking, a long tail, and an adorable Beagle face with hopeful trusting eyes and large floppy ears which just beg to be petted. True to her Beagle heritage, Margaret has a sweet, easygoing personality. She was a joy to photograph when HSOV Kennel Tech/Adoption Clerk Lauryn Hamilton accompanied her for pictures soon after her arrival. Margaret was perfectly at ease with Lauryn and quickly had her wrapped around her cute paws. Margaret weighs 32 lbs. She walks fairly well on a leash but LOVED to be carried in Lauryn's arms. We've determined that Margaret has already been spayed. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Margaret will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.
