Apple Pie is an adorable 3-year old female Beagle who arrived at the HSOV on September 8, 2024. Apple Pie was picked up on Two Mile Run Road in the Cutler Ohio area by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff who brought her to the safety of our shelter. She was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped .. So we hope that her family or friends will see her pictures and make a happy reunion possible. This little dollbaby has a white/tan/charcoal gray short smooth coat, a traditional white tip on the end of her long tail, and a beautiful Beagle face with amber-colored eyes, a milk chocolate/charcoal gray nose, and extra-large floppy ears which beg to be petted. Apple Pie has the wonderful personality for which Beagles are known and loved. She was a pushover for attention when HSOV Kennel Tech Rachel Elizabeth spent time with her for outdoor glamour photos late in the afternoon on September 9th. True to her Beagle genes, Apple followed her nose through the green grass to take in all of the new scents before she posed like a professional model for 'Beagle Fancy Magazine' (smile). Apple Pie weighs 30 lbs and walked fairly well on a leash with Rachel by her side. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Apple Pie will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership. Surely someone is frantically searching for this little Apple Dumpling .. uh .. Apple Pie.

Pumpkin Pie is a cute 1-1/2 year old female Lemon Beagle who was brought to the HSOV on September 10, 2024 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden who had picked her up on Federal Road in the Cutler Ohio area. Pumpkin was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. This little sweetheart has a snow white coat with several small patches of tan, a long tail, and a beautiful tan-and-white Beagle face with soft brown eyes, a black button nose, and large floppy ears. Pumpkin Pie has a super-sweet personality and a quiet, demure disposition. Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Hannah Mcclain for accompanying Pumpkin Pie for outdoor photos on September 10th. This little dollbaby is an easy dog to fall in love with and Pumpkin Pie quickly had Hannah wrapped around her cute little paws. ... And within minutes HSOV Kennel Tech Cadince Bibbee and Volunteer Sharon Paul were also captivated by Pumpkin Pie's charm. We've learned from a family (who was familiar with Pumpkin Pie when she came to their farm) that Pumpkin Pie is great with children, other dogs, cats, and farm animals (except for feathered animals). Pumpkin Pie is not nice to feathered friends (especially chickens) and cannot be trusted with them. We noticed while taking photos of Pumpkin Pie that she seemed a little too calm/lethargic and not really behaving like a typical Beagle. Our HSOV Kennel Techs/Staff did a 4DX test on her as a precaution. Results were negative for heartworm, ehrlichia, and anaplasma .. But she tested positive for Lyme Disease. Pumpkin Pie has been started on a regimen of antibiotics and will soon be back to being a normal active Beagle girl. Pumpkin Pie is a petite little lady who weighs 22 lbs In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Pumpkin Pie will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership. UPDATE: Pumpkin Pie went home with a foster family on September 15, 2024 who plans to adopt her after she is spayed.

Sadly, nobody called looking  for me. So, here I am in search of a new home. I am a very loving girl, who would make any one a wonderful companion. I play fetch, sit on command, and have pretty good leash manners. I would love to have an active home with someone who will take me for adventures like long walks and  car rides.
