Story
Hello, My family: Rosebud (F, momma), Elmer (M, daddy), Zinnia (F), Roisin (F, Irish for Rose), and Magnolia (F). We were found on a country road with few houses and fewer cars passing by. To our blessing, a lady in a pickup truck came by shortly after we were dumped. It was also in our favor she knew who we were and that our owner had died. Our savior was a foster mom for this dog rescue. We are healthy, happy, and ready for our very own homes. We are shy at first with strangers, but that doesn't last long. We are social babies. Our foster mom has many other dogs/ puppies, cats/ kittens, and horses. We love the water. There is a little swimming pool and a creek. Rosebud (F) would like to go for walks or hiking. Elmer (M) Is special needs. When he exited the yard one day, he returned the next day. Something had attacked him. His left leg had repairs done outside and inside of his rear leg. No residual problems. He also had one toe on his left foot amputated. Zinnia (F), Roisin (F), and Magnolia (F) are the silliest, happiest girls. They love putting their face in the water and blowing bubbles—just clowns. We are all ready to be adopted. Please request an application today, alittlelonger2home@gmail.com, to begin our journey home to you. I am prepared for an adventure! I want to see the beach, lake, apple orchards, hiking trails... Zinnia Spayed Female Breed Basset Hound mix Color White and fawn Age 7 months old (As of 09/08/2024) Weight 20lbs Great with people, children, dogs/ puppies, cats/ kittens and horses Adoption donation $495

Story
Autumn and Spring are 2 gorgeous shihtzu/Bassett mixes that have not had the best life. Autumn and Spring are sisters who were born to a shihtzu mom and a Bassett dad. Ow. We said the same thing. As far as we know, these 2 are the only ones from the litter and the owners kept them, but they were not in a good situation. Thankfully, we were able to get them out of their outside kennels where they received little attention and bare minimums, and into a home where they are loved and being well cared for until their forever homes come. These sisters were born April 25, 2025, so are under 1 year of age! Both have wire hire like a shihtzu, and bodies like Bassetts. They are NOT bonded. They are crate trained and despite being outside their whole lives, are doing wonderfully with house training! Spring and Autumn are working on leash training, and both are such good sports. They are so friendly, loving, great girls. They both would do great with children. Autumn and Spring love other dogs and would do great with them in the house, or without. They have also met cats, as you can see in the video, and they have no issues with indoor kitties. Autumn – 24 lbs – Full grown – Dark Brindle and White – Sheds less – More playful and outgoing – Would do great for a more active home – Loves to give kisses – Loves belly rubs – Loves cuddling and will sleep in bed with you - Very Happy Spring – 21 lbs – Full grown – Lighter Brindle and White – Sheds minimal – More Calm – Would love a home that is quieter and more laid back – loves to cuddle and will sleep anywhere next to you. Very Gentle and sweet. Docile. Would love a chill home. Both girls are so perfect in their own ways. Please consider giving them a chance at home forever. They are spayed, current on rabies, parvo distemper, bordatella, lepto vaccines. Both are heart worm tested NEGATIVE and microchipped. They are current on bravecto, heartgard and dewormer. Autumn and Spring have received as of 4/8/26 a clean bill of health from a veterinarian. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed INCLUDES transport from Texas to the location where this animal is posted in. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 4 years (as of 1/15/26) Weight: 61 lbs (as of 3/25/26) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Marigold, a sweet and gentle soul looking for a forever home. Her friendly and calm nature make her a joy to have as a home companion. Marigold is a true homebody who loves spending any and all time with her people, whether it's playing in the yard or relaxing by your side, and she prefers her person/people to home more than not.  While she co-exists well with/around other dogs, Marigold has a special preference for human companionship. She is cool around cats and friendly with kids. Marigold is house trained and non-destructive when left loose in the house for short periods.  She is also working on her crate skills (she prefers plastic crates over wire metal ones) and is doing well. She can be nervous on excursions, so she would likely prefer to be more of a stay-at-home than off-property dog.  If you're looking for a loyal and loving friend, Marigold is the ideal candidate. Her gentle disposition and affectionate personality make her the perfect addition to any family. Medical Note:  This dog is being treated/has been treated for heartworm disease.  Untreated heartworm disease can cause lasting damage to the heart, lungs and arteries, and can affect the dog’s health and quality of life even after the parasites are gone, possibly presenting as medical complications and/or new conditions in the future.  Whenever possible, SOSARL advocates for following the American Heartworm Society guidelines for heartworm disease treatment as the safest and most effective methods; the active portion of this treatment protocol can take up to four months to complete.  Once treatment is completed and the dog tests negative for microfilaria, the dog will be cleared to resume normal activity and will be ready to travel north and be placed into an adoptive home.  This dog showed no symptoms of heartworm disease before or during treatment, and is expected to complete treatment with no complications.  Please ask your Adoption Counselor for the specific treatment protocol used for and current status of this dog.  Please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 13, 2026, 8:12 am

Story
Meet Nessie! 🐾 Nessie is a 16-month-old Lab/Beagle mix with a soft heart and a playful spirit. She can be a little reserved when she first meets new people, but with a little patience and kindness she quickly relaxes and lets her sweet personality shine. Once she feels comfortable, Nessie loves staying close to her people and enjoys being part of whatever you’re doing. This girl has the perfect mix of calm affection and happy puppy energy. She enjoys quiet time just as much as playtime and will happily curl up next to you for some snuggles after a long day. But when it’s time to have fun, Nessie is ready! She loves chasing a ball, bouncing around the yard, and showing off her silly, playful side. 🎾 Nessie is also a very well-mannered young pup. She is crate trained and house trained, which will help make the transition into her new home nice and smooth. She gets along great with other dogs, does well with cats, and is gentle with children. She has even been introduced to horses and chickens and handled those experiences wonderfully. Nessie would do best in a home where she can continue building confidence while enjoying plenty of love, playtime, and companionship. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal dog who will be both a cuddle buddy and a fun playmate, Nessie could be the perfect addition to your family. 💕🐶
