Story
If you LOVE lowriders like we do, this is the litter for you! Big Boy is one of 6 Bassett Hound mixes traveling north! They will be 5 months at arrival and 25 pounds, and LONG and short! They are older puppies who have only known each other and so we are placing them in homes with: a friendly + playful resident dog fenced yard  no young children (no experience with them, but they've met older kids!) and cats are ok, if you have a dog-savvy cat! They spend time between on outdoor play kennel during the day, and they are inside with the family at night. These puppies are loved very much.  Rescue story––Mom was a stray and taken in by a good samaritan. She birthed her babes and they've been home raised in northern LA.  Preference is given to adopters willing to pre-adopt (commit to) a puppy or dog before arrival to MA. Pups not pre-adopted are available to meet in their MA foster homes after your application is approved. Should this pup receive an adoption commitment prior to your application being processed, we will share with you the other arriving pups that may be a match for you, some of which are not yet posted online. THIS PUP IS STILL AVAILABLE IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS LISTING––we pull listings down after receiving 2 - 3 viable applications to minimize adopter disappointment. Please do not email, simply submit an application link here www.rescueinc.dog/adopt and we do respond to every application within 48 hours.  Read through our adoption FAQs here www.rescueinc.dog/FAQs and our adoption process is here www.rescueinc.dog/the-process All of our pups come with the following:  spayed or neutered age appropriate vaccinations + dewormed + 4DX test (if older than 6 months) health certificates  dosed with flea and tick + heartworm preventatives new martingale collar (sometimes a harness) with 6' lead + temp ID tag 30-days free insurance to be activated within 24 hours of your wellness visit with your veterinarian microchip with free registration  sample of Canidae food that your pup is eating prior to pick up  WE ISOLATE OUR OWN PUPS in our state licensed facility, which means we have eyes on your puppy or dog for the MA mandated 48 hours. During this timeframe, your pups not only see our isolation vet twice but also receive additional rounds of dewormer along with pre + probiotics; transition to Canidae food; additional behavior assessments as they decompress; and so much love and thoughtfulness from our volunteers. Your pups are bathed at intake and again before pick up. All are paired in kennels with littermates or for those that travel alone, we have a rotation of volunteers to visit with them. We provide enrichment throughout the day and meditation music during nap time and through the overnight. We use these 48 hours to ready your pup to transition into a foster or adoptive home and do all that we can to reduce their stress while they are with us.  Ages listed can be approximate and breed mixes are a best guess based on physical characteristics.   Approved Massachusetts Rescue #0048 // Registered 501c3 EIN #84-3954548  ##2019458##

Story
weight 40  age 2 neutered up to date in vaccines,  adoption donation $599   Roscoe is a very sweet and gentle boy whose owner passed away and he found himself without a place to go. Wags took him into the rescue and his tail has been wagging ever since! Roscoe is very friendly and has no aggression, he’s an awesome family dog. He gets along well with all the dogs, he isn’t a barker and is house trained, although like most rescue dogs he may need a refresher course when he adjusts to a new home. Roscoe has not been tested around cats but he is such a mellow and gentle boy and we think he would likely be just fine. Roscoe is such a good dog and deserves another chance at a loving family of his own.    For more information please contact mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com      April 17, 2024, 5:41 am
