FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDEDMeet Molly!Molly is a 5.5-year-old, 40 lb Basset Hound/Terrier mix who is looking for a special person to call her own. She is a sweet, affectionate girl who bonds deeply with her people and loves nothing more than being curled up beside them for a good sofa cuddle.Molly is calm and relaxed in the home, is fully house-trained, crate-trained, has shown to do well with cats, and has great house manners. She loves her stuffed toys, belly rubs, car rides, walks, and getting out to explore open spaces. She also does well with other dogs, although she isn’t necessarily looking for a canine playmate and is more interested in doing her own thing.Molly can be slow to warm up to new people and does best when introductions happen gradually and on her terms. She is happiest with people who understand that not every dog wants to be everyone’s best friend right away and are willing to respect her boundaries while building trust. Once Molly feels comfortable with someone, she can form an incredibly strong bond and become a loving, devoted companion, who can become very protective of her “person/people”.Molly is looking for a quieter home with someone who appreciates a more reserved dog and is willing to continue working on her confidence and socialization. A predictable routine, clear boundaries, positive reinforcement, and patient introductions will help her feel safe and successful. She would do best with calm, mature people who understand dog body language and are comfortable giving her the space she needs. An adult only home without young children is preferred for her.Molly is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.
