Meet Mahi! She loves to dance for attention and she’s so loving. She’s a dachshund or basset mix with maybe some shepherd in her. She’s about 10 months old and weighs 27 pounds.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snoopy is a character. He enjoys running around and playing with toys. If you would like to meet him please go to our website www.adoggie4you.org and complete an application for him. Once we receive it a volunteer will be in contact with you via email.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin c innati, Lexington KY,     or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! I am ready when you are, do your stuff so we can ride off into the sunset, in air conditioning, of course! Story
Jack was our first baby. We adopted him from the Seattle Humane Society when he was estimated to be 1. He was found on the streets of LA as a stray although we believe he was someone’s pet. He was house trained and knew how to sit and shake. He was the love of our lives! As our family grew, we now have 1 and 4 year old boys. Jack is amazing with kids and loves to snuggles. But he is aggressive around food and barks at every little noise. This makes it so hard for naps and bedtime. It makes it especially hard if friends come over or family unannounced. He barks so loud and whines non-stop. Jack is almost 13 and we love him so much. We think he would be better off with someone that can give him 100% of their love and attention.
